Colonels Apartment
This modern apartment is perfectly positioned to watch the ships passing by, whilst enjoying the sunlight reflecting off the glistening waves seen through the windows. Situated at ground floor level, the sandy shores of Sandown Bay are directly opposite.
The accommodation comprises of a large open plan living/kitchen/dining area, which offers lovely views out to sea and a large smart TV, inc Netflix, Amazon & internet. There are three sofas, one that can be used as a sofa bed for one person.
The kitchen area is a modern contemporary style, with breakfast bar seating for up to 3 and includes a Nespresso machine (pods not supplied), an integral fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, electric oven and gas hob. The dining area seats up to 6 guests and also benefits from sea views.
The master bedroom can be made up as a super-king or a twin room; please advise your preference on booking. There is a dressing table, that can also be used as a work desk for those looking to work whilst away. This room has a stylish en-suite. The second bedroom is a twin room. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over.

LOCATION:
Glorious Sandown Bay is on your doorstep, and voted one of the Island’s best beaches, providing a long stretch of sand and great swimming waters. Along this stretch you can see the red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver cliff, and it is around here that fossil remains can be found. Sandham Garden’s play area is just across the road from the apartment with go karting sky nets and crazy golf and children’s play area. A short flat walk further along towards Yaverland, and you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary formerly the isle of Wight Zoo, famous for its big cats. The town of Sandown is brimming with attractions to entertain visitors, most of them right on the beach front itself, so you never have to stray too far from the golden sands. Should you enjoy a coastal walk, you can walk the length of Sandown Bay from Yaverland past the Pier along the seaside revetment all the way to the popular neighbouring town of Shanklin. If you are keen on an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water-sports, and you’ll certainly see people paddle boarding, surfing, catamaran and dingy sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing, depending on the weather.

There is a parking space for 1 car at the rear of property. In addition, some visitor spaces are available, on a first come first served basis.

PLEASE NOTE: Guests can choose to either pay a non-refundable damage waiver of £35 or provide a pre-authorised security deposit of £150 before check-in.
If the security deposit option is selected, no money will be taken unless damage is reported at the property within 7 days after departure.
This property can accept a maximum of 1 pet(s). The charge is £35 per pet, per week and we kindly ask that you bring your own bedding for your pet(s). Please ensure that you correctly add your pet(s) when making your booking, so this additional cost is included. If it becomes apparent that you have brought a pet(s) with you but did not advise us, we will contact you to request payment separately.
This property offers a single sofa bed, If you would like us to supply linen for its use during your stay, this can be provided at an additional cost of £35, per stay.
Please do make us aware at the time of booking / in advance of your stay if you require this service, so we can arrange to take payment and have the linen made available.
There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details.
No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties.
There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties.
Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels and cot linen as necessary.
Please be advised, this apartment is on one level, accessed via the stairs or a lift from the parking space. Alternatively, having gained access via the stairs/lift and Key Safe, anyone with mobility issues can use the door at the front of the property, which is at ground level.
Please be respectful of the property and the neighbours during your stay; leaving the property as you found it on your arrival.
A breach of the above rules and guidelines could mean forfeiture of the Security Deposit.

My family and I had a fantastic time at Colonels Apartment. Right in front of the beach. Wake up to the sounds of the waves, had breakfast on the outside table in front of the house looking at the beach and then I crossed the main street and went for a swim on the gorgeous beach of Sandown, which by the way, is dog friendly. The apartment had everything we needed and was as described. Communication and organization was 100%. Will book again!

A wonderful weekend
We had a truly wonderful stay. The apartment is new, modern, very clean and in the perfect location with the beach just across the road which is beautiful. Only downside is the very loud building work going on and this wasn’t mentioned when we booked.

Ideal location for beach and rest of the island
The property was perfectly located. Just across the road from an ideal soft sand beach, a two minute walk from one of the best resturants in town (Band Stand), five minute walk from holiday entertainment (mini golf plus more), 10 minute walk in to town and easy road access to get to the rest of the island. The property was modern, spacious, clean and well equiped and included off street parking. Could do with some alternative hot weather bedding. A duvet in 30 degrees is just not needed.
