Oceanfront Penthouse w/own Pool

Summary:

Float in your private plunge pool on the terrace and watch the Pacific roll in below, with Zicatela's surf breaks off to the left. In season, whales and dolphins pass close to shore. This 2-bedroom, 2-bath villa in the gated La Escondida complex has a king bedroom, a bunk room, Starlink Wi-Fi and a full kitchen with dishwasher. It sits level with the entrance and parking, so there are no stairs to haul bags up. Great for families and couples.



The Space:

A folding glass wall opens the great room fully onto the terrace, so the living area, dining table and plunge pool feel like one space. Ocean breezes come through most of the day, and seven ceiling fans keep the air moving. Four air-conditioning units are there when you want them.



Bedrooms: the main bedroom has a king bed. The second bedroom has three single beds, including a bunk bed, which kids love. Both bedrooms have blackout curtains.



Bathrooms: two full bathrooms with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and a hair dryer.



Kitchen: a 4-burner cooktop, large fridge and freezer, microwave with grill, large toaster oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and blender, plus good cookware and tableware.



Den: a second TV with a DVD player and comfortable seating.



Terrace: your private plunge pool, deck furniture with thick Sunbrella cushions, loungers and a hammock, all facing the ocean.



Extras: in-suite washer and dryer, iron, safe and Starlink Wi-Fi.



Guest Access:

The villa is all yours, with self check-in. Villa A1 sits level with the entrance gate and parking garage, which makes it the easiest villa in the complex to reach.



In the common areas you'll find garden walkways toward the ocean, two rooftop pools, hammocks, sitting areas and rooftop gardens. La Escondida is a gated community with 24/7 security on site.



The Neighborhood:

La Escondida sits on the clifftop above the Pacific, surrounded by homes and condos. The stairs down to Playa Manzanillo are about 5 minutes on foot, and Puerto Angelito is right next to it. There you can hire boats and paddleboards, eat under a palapa and swim or snorkel in a calm bay.



In the other direction, Playa Principal is 10 to 15 minutes on foot, with the Adoquín's restaurants and nightlife just beyond it. The mercado in Centro is about 25 minutes away, or a quick taxi ride.



Getting Around:

Most walks around this part of town are flat. Taxis go anywhere in town, usually for around 50 pesos, and colectivos (shared trucks that work like buses) cost around 7 pesos depending on distance. If you'd like a car, you'll need Mexican insurance to rent one. There's free parking on the street.

Other Things to Note:

Please note that La Escondida is a high-end residential community that does not allow parties or gatherings with loud music. Quiet hours must be respected at all times. All guests are required to sign the rental agreement prior to their stay. A secure link will be sent before arrival, and completion is necessary in order to access the property.



Your stay includes 50 kWh of electricity per day. Any usage above this allowance will be charged at $5 MXN per additional kWh. Consumption is monitored daily, and meter readings can be provided upon request or if the limit is exceeded. To help stay within the allowance, we recommend turning off the A/C when leaving the property.



Hurricane season notice



If your stay falls during hurricane season, please be aware that storms can cause power outages in the area. These are outside our control and can happen at short notice. We're not able to offer refunds or partial refunds for power outages or other storm-related disruptions during your stay.



If severe weather or another natural event prevents you from travelling, cancellations will follow the cancellation policy on your booking. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers weather and natural events, as any claim for costs in that situation would need to go through your insurer.
