Cliffside villa w/ private pool

Summary:

Your own pool sits on a terrace above the cliffs, with the open Pacific stretching to the horizon. Inside, the living room, dining area and kitchen are one open space that flows straight onto the deck. Three bedrooms sleep six: a king suite with its own bathroom, a queen room and a bunk room with four twin beds. Two shared pools, 24-hour security and Playa Principal 10 to 15 minutes away on foot. Made for families and groups of friends.



The Space:

The open-plan living room, dining table and kitchen lead straight out to your private terrace, where the pool, sun loungers, a hammock and an outdoor sofa all face the ocean. The villa was professionally designed, with warm wood, built-in shelving and clean white walls.



Bedrooms: the main suite has a king bed and its own bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third has four twin beds as bunks.



Bathrooms: two full bathrooms, with a hair dryer.



Kitchen: fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and blender, plus cookware.



Comfort: air conditioning, ceiling fans, TV, Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, iron and a safe. Water is provided.



Guest Access:

The whole villa, including the private pool, is just for your group. The complex also has two shared pools and a shared garden for watching the sunset, with 24-hour security on site.



The Neighborhood:

La Escondida sits on the clifftop in El Faro, with Playa Bacocho to the west and the surf at Playa Zicatela to the east. Playa Principal is 10 to 15 minutes on foot, and the Adoquín, known for its shops and night market, is 10 to 15 minutes. The Rinconada's shops and restaurants are about 20 minutes on foot.



Playa Manzanillo, where it's easy to get into the water and snorkel, is about 5 minutes on foot to the top of the beach stairs. Downtown and the main grocery store are about 10 minutes by taxi, and the Mercado about 10 minutes.



Getting Around:

The airport is 10 to 15 minutes by taxi. Around town, the walks are mostly flat if you don't mind the heat. Taxis wait one block away and you rarely wait more than a few minutes. A ride within Puerto Escondido usually costs around 50 pesos. There's free parking on the street.

Other Things to Note:

We are located in a friendly and welcoming community and, although this is a holiday destination, it's home to other people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 10 PM and 8 AM noise should be kept to a minimum. No smoking of any kind.



Water is provided. There is 24-hour security on site.



All guests are required to sign the rental agreement prior to their stay. A secure link will be sent before arrival, and completion is necessary in order to access the property.



Your stay includes 50 kWh of electricity per day. Any usage above this allowance will be charged at $5 MXN per additional kWh. Consumption is monitored daily, and meter readings can be provided upon request or if the limit is exceeded. To help stay within the allowance, we recommend turning off the A/C when leaving the property.



Hurricane season notice



If your stay falls during hurricane season, please be aware that storms can cause power outages in the area. These are outside our control and can happen at short notice. We're not able to offer refunds or partial refunds for power outages or other storm-related disruptions during your stay.



If severe weather or another natural event prevents you from travelling, cancellations will follow the cancellation policy on your booking. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers weather and natural events, as any claim for costs in that situation would need to go through your insurer.
