This hotel is right at the Pier parking lot.
Three reasons why I could not give it a 5, even though the place is nice and the people friendly.
1) $100 PER DAY put on your credit card for incidentals. So stay a week, get $700 put on it.
2) Ad says " valet parking available". It is the ONLY parking available unless you can find a place on the street, and move your car before the meters go live. Valet parking is $30 per day PLUS tips, so if you go in and out a couple times and tip $5, you may be out $50 a day. That's $250 if you stay a week...
3) Noisiest place I have ever stayed. If you get a room in the back with no view, no sense staying there. If you get the ocean view rooms, the rooms on the 1st floor are 10 feet away from the huge pier parking lot, with loud Harleys, noisy lifted trucks, Mustangs revving their engines, idiots playing their stereo at full volume, people arguing about parking fees, etc. If you are unlucky enough to get one of the 21 rooms that face the main street downtown, you will be woken up at 4:30am with garbage trucks picking up trash, restaurant delivery trucks rolling kegs down the sidewalk, etc. Unbelievable amount of noise.
Other than that the rooms were nice, beds comfy, staff helpful and friendly. But my god, the noise at night...
