Lovely Garden Beachfront Villa near of San Juan

The Villas Del Mar Beach Resort apartment it's a beautiful beach Garden Villa (No Stairs- first floor), right in front of the main pool, with all conveniences in a safe gated community and private beach. Only 25 minutes from the San Juan International Airport, 40 minutes to Old San Juan, 15 minutes from the tropical forest "El Yunque" and the famous beach of "Luquillo".
The apartment is a first floor walkup with two balconies, beautiful garden, just right next to one of the condo pools. (One of our complex's pools is under repair since May 29, 2025.) You can walk to the beach a few minutes inside the Resort .Fully furnished with free WiFi Internet and filtered water. Includes a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry room with washer and dryer and your own private terrace with BBQ. The whole apartment has air conditioning and large ceiling fans, blackout curtains for a pleasant sleep, 3 bedrooms with two queen size beds, one full-twin bunk bed, plus one futon bed, and wall to wall mirrored closets. Beds have premium mattress and premium pillow top mattresses, quality linens, bath towels, shower gel, shampoo, and other amenities.
Two bathrooms, one of which is in the master bedroom. Dining and living room area, big flat screen RokuTV, FREE Netflix & Amazon TV. Two parking available.
Condo has what you need for the beach; beach towels, ice chest, beach chairs. It is Resort Style living with 24/7 security that has direct access to private beach, tennis court, basketball court, gym with sauna and showers, 3 children playgrounds, two pools, kids pool, beach volley ball court, and more. Located near three world golf courses and attractions.
Why Should I Rent This Condo? For less than the cost of a single hotel room with a crowded beach and pool, you can have a full-size, fully furnished 3 bedrooms home complete with two quiet pools a just steps away, a secluded beach within walking distance, and your own private terrace. Only 25 minutes from the San Juan International Airport (Luis Munoz Marin). Ideal for an affordable family vacation or romantic getaway in the northeast coast of Puerto Rico, where the most beautiful beaches are located like Luquillo Beach. Within 10-20 minutes of golf courses, casinos, horse race track, bike trail, restaurants, shopping mall (Beltz Outlets), and the world famous attraction El Yunque Rain Forest (waterfalls and natural swimming pools). Just minutes away from the town of Fajardo with ferries to the islands of Culebra (Flamenco's world class beach) and Vieques.

Important Note: In Puerto Rico is highly recommended to rent a car, public transport is nonexistent and taxi service is very expensive.

Loiza has more than 7 beaches around it that you can visit or search on any Map app: PiƱones Beach, Three Palmitas Beach, Airplane Beach, La Posita de PiƱones, Torrecillas Beach, Vacƭa Talega Beach, PiƱones Hidden Beach, and Bonita Beach. All of these are located minutes from the Resort and are spectacular.

Also, public beaches like Carolina, Luquillo or Seven Seas in Fajardo, are great with calmer waters, showers, bathrooms and parking. On the South Playa Santa in GuƔnica, BuyƩ in Cabo Rojo, Combate in Cabo Rojo or a day at Caja de Muertos from Ponce (there is a private boat that takes you there for the day). Also, you can check daily snorkeling trips from Fajardo to Culebra or Icacos.

Also you can spend a day at ElYunque, Old San Juan, kayak o paddle board at the Condado Lagoon, drive to Cayey for the pork route to eat roasted pork, arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) and all the wonderful foods sold at Guavate. You can combine Guavate with a short easy hike at Charco Azul in Patillas. Consider Ponce, or the Camuy Caverns, Toro Verde for zip lining, for a day trip. Also, close by CarabalĆ­ for go carts, horseback riding or four tracks. You can eat over Carabali or close by at Don Pepe or at the Luquillo Kiosks.

The apartment was clean but we were disappointed with the beach which was eroding and had a lot of debris in the sand and water. The listing does not show newer pictures of the current state of the beach. The area isnā€™t very walkable as it seemed sketchy and we even sometimes heard shots at night. The community is gated so inside the complex we felt safe. I would definitely recommend renting a car if staying here at least you can drive to other beaches and get food.

We had a great time at the property. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Our only issue was with the pools on the property; they were not clean and needed repairs. Otherwise, we will definitely use this property again. The owner was accommodating and provided us with quick responses. Awesome!

Great spot

The property was clean and inviting. They had chairs and beach equipment and even a wagon to take to the beach. Property owner was so friendly and they even had later a for when the power went out. I would definitely love to come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great experience

Our family truly enjoyed our stay in this rental. The location made it easy to enjoy multiple beaches in Loiza, Pinones, and Loquillo. El Yunque and Fajardo offered different opportunities for excursions less than an hour away. The bioluminescent bay in Fajardo was worth the drive. We enjoyed being away from the city with extra space to spread out with two teens. Our kids were a little disappointed the jacuzzi wasnā€™t fully operational but otherwise everything was awesome. I definitely recommend.

Very nice place in convenient location

The property was very clean. It was very nice to have a full kitchen and washer/dryer. There is an ac unit in every room which made the place very comfortable - and the beds were very comfortable too. Eduardo was very responsive when we had. Few questions. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The pools were nice too. The beach was small but fun to swim at. My boys also played basketball in the complex. There is a small market just a block away which we found very helpful. And we enjoyed the local restaurants that Eduardo recommended. The location was great since we spent some of our time in Luquillo and Fajardo and then some of our time near San Juan. We were able to get to boat cruises, kayaking, the rain forest, a fishing excursion, and parasailing, all within 45 minutes of driving. And we played a lot of board games around the dining table at the place in the evenings. It was a work Sergio trip with this property as a great home base.

Incredibly clean and amazing host!

I have to preface my review with the fact that Ernesto hit the island and derailed 3 days of our vacation. So, we were without power for a bit. Regardless Eduardo communicated with us about the storm and even brought us a lantern and ice. He offered great suggestions about where to eat in Old San Juan. He was incredibly informative. He went above and beyond as a host and even checked to make sure we arrived home safely. Genuinely a good guy. The condo was INCREDIBLY clean. Weā€™ve stayed in many VBROs in several countries and this unit is the cleanest. Iā€™m super critical when it comes to cleanliness and it was immaculate. Generally well stocked with basic necessities and having a washer/dryer is a bonus. Iā€™d say my only criticism is that while the property grounds are well maintained, the on site beach is very eroded. While you are able to swim there, the beach itself is small and offers no amenities. Itā€™s good for a quick dip to cool off but not a day at the beach. But, there are a few beautiful beaches within 20 minutes of the property in both directions. The on-site pools are very clean as well but not upscale, resort style pools. We prefer beach so this was not a big deal for us. Everything you want to do on the east side of the island is close by. No matter where you decide to stay, Iā€™d highly recommend renting a vehicle. All in all, Iā€™d recommend this condo for its size, cleanliness, amazing host and proximity to island attractions.

Very nice place for a family vacation

I stayed for 1 week with my family. We loved our stay! The apartment is very clean and comfortable. We appreciated being on the ground floor, the beach is somewhat eroded, but still very enjoyable, clean warm water, practically a private beach. Our host Eduardo was awesome, always available to answer any questions. He answers instantly to our messages, very friendly and polite. We would definitely return here.

The host is wonderful and very accommodating. The house is clean and has all needed for a week stay. Beach is walking distance and another larger one within 10-15 min drive and with free parking. Beach and Relaxation

This was a super clean place, it had everything. A front and back deck, one of them faces a pool. Comfortable and spacious. The owner was super nice, responsive and attentive. I recommend this place to anyone and weā€™ll be staying here again.

Amazing Location-Living like a local

Amazing location, perfect communication and responsiveness from owner, perfect size for my family, and great for anyone that wants to experience living like a local away from resorts and tourist traps. Was just what the family needed, must be comfortable traveling on your own and interested in a non touristy, low key local experience. Will need a car which is just what we wanted. 5 star stay!

Our stay here was amazing. I love that this is a safe apartment complex with what seems like its own private beach. I have never been to such an amazing beach. The complex is very quiet and peaceful. There is a small convenience store just outside the gates along with a few places to eat. Walmart is only 20 minutes away. El Yunque about 45 minutes (from where our half day tour started). Same distance for bio bay tours. Old San Juan about 30-40 minutes. Luquillo 20-30 minutes. Definitely rent a car. To me this was the perfect location and perfect condo for our family of 4. We could have even put a few more kids in here. We cooked at the condo every breakfast and a couple more meals to save money. Eddie is a fantastic host and very responsive! I would definitely stay here again. The condo was very clean, provided towels and washcloths, washer and dryer, chairs and toys for the beach, all the basics to make your stay just a bit easier. Highly recommend!

fantastic for family vacation

Great beach week rental. Spotlessly clean, spacious, everything you need for a family on vacation including beach supplies. Ground level makes it very convenient and it's very close to one of the pools. Great location on the island. And Eddie is fantastic - great host who provided tons of useful information including, helpfully, places to eat on arrival and on the way back to the airport. Would stay there again.

This condo was an easy home base for our adventures. Our only surprise was that the neighborhood was pretty run down. We felt completely safe, however, in the gated community. The location was conveniently about half way between San Juan and El Yunque. The host was very responsive and answered all questions quickly.

We really enjoyed our stay in the condo! It was so easy to get to and the manager was great communicating with us! We loved the private beach and the swing! This was a short drive to San Juan. We truly enjoyed restaurants and the nightlife!. It was a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day weekend! Apartment was very comfortable and it provided all necessary amenities. We felt secure in the property! You will not regret staying here!

Spring Getaway

This was my familyā€™s first trip to Puerto Rico. While we enjoyed our trip and will undoubtedly return to the island next year, weā€™ll probably look for another place to stay. While our unit was spotless, tastefully decorated and affordable, the complex itself needs some TLC. One of the two pools was conveniently located right outside our back door (the other pool was closed for repairs), but it needs cosmetic attention and the hot tub was just moderately warm with only lightly powered jets. The private beach was scenic and the turquoise water gentle for our toddler grandsons but the sand was seriously eroded from storms with limited walking potential. (It appears that some neighborhoods have benefited from beach replenishment funds more than others.) If you donā€™t mind a drive, though, there are several nice public beaches within 10-20 minutes (Luquillo Beach was our favorite with its adjacent strip of restaurants and bars). The complex is completely safe and gated with a convenience store and pharmacy just one block away and is within a 30 minute drive to a nearly unlimited choice of restaurants (Richā€™s in Fajardo was our favorite). Plus, El Yunque is closeby too. If you prefer a luxurious accommodation, you probably want to consider another property. But if youā€™re laid back and donā€™t mind vacationing among the friendly locals, this place is just right.

Good central location

Very nice - place just as expected from the photos . It was nice to stay in a quieter place just 25 minutes outside of San Juan with easy drive to hiking in the rainforest, kayaking , and snorkeling tours.

Eduardo is the greatest host. We were able to check in early and he was very accommodating.

Eduardo made our trip possible and run smoothly. He was very accommodating and helped us out as needed. If you need anything while in Puerto Rico, Eduardo is your guy. The location of the place is very nice as it is only a half hour drive to the nightlight in San Juan, 40-60 min to Old San Juan, 30 min to El Yunque Rainforest, and there are many beautiful beaches within a 10-15 min drive. The beach at the property is also very beautiful and got the job done. If you decide to stay here, I suggest exploring and learning about LoĆ­za as it has a unique history and very kind people. The neighbors in the condo complex are very nice and the complex has very good security as well. Eduardo keeps his place very clean and my five friends and I enjoyed our stay. We recommend staying here if you are planning on visiting Puerto Rico.

We enjoyed the 2 porches. But the beach at the property barely existed due to erosion and poor maintenance. It was spacious enough for 3, but could have used dressers. Was glad for the bug spray provided for the ants.
