Marvelous sea front and centric amenities location awaits for you at Luquillo’s Playa Azul Condo Complex. A fully equipped apartment at the Playa Azul Condo 3 Apt 20th floor with amazing sea views of the Luquillo’s most famous beach and mountains escapes as El Yunque National Rain Forest. This is a confortable two bedroom/ 2 bathroom with a large balcony looking at the ocean, living and dining area with a flat TV, A/C, fully equipped kitchen, laundry and parking inside the secure complex. The gated complex includes 24 hour security, recreational amenities as Basketball, Racquetball Courts and gigantic swimming pool.

Great Location, Nice beach

The property had a great view and was spacious. The beach is a short walk outside of the property and is really nice for swimming and snorkeling. A lot of restaurant options close by including the kiosks. I rated 3 stars for cleanliness due to a lot of the dishes having old food stuck to them. We enjoyed our stay despite the power going out 2 days in a row!

Anniversary & Vacation getaway

The check in process was super easy, our week stay was good from Nov 30-Dec 8 2024, the apartment itself is out dated, could use some TLC and the bed a better mattress but it worked since we were so tired from all the activities we had planned, you have everything you need especially a washer and dryer, we had a small situation with the AC but Susana and her husband responded immediately and fix it the problem immediately (it’s very hot in the Island even in Dec) the building is old but centeredly located with 24/7 security with plenty of parking, now I have to mention THE VIEW from the 20th floor apt now that’s soooo breath taking and makes the stay superb and makes you over look the whole out dated things, it’s definitely worth the stay, the living room floor to ceiling glass windows 360 ocean view and from the balcony makes up for the rest , I recommend opening the entrance door windows when in the apartment and open the windows and both sliding doors so you can feel that awesome breeze. We had a good stay, feel free to rent it. Thank you Susana for sharing your home with us.

Great Location!!

We would definitely stay here again. The rooms are exactly as pictured and the view is awesome! Susana is a great host and promptly answered any questions I had. She also had no problem letting us check in in the middle of the night which I greatly appreciate. I love that she provided things for us to use on the beach like chairs and body boards and my boys greatly enjoyed having somewhere to play basketball in the evening. Don’t hesitate to stay here. You can’t beat the views and proximity to the great food and fun things to do!!

The apartment was great and stocked with everything we needed for the week including beach chairs, towels and kitchen supplies. Short walk to the beach was a plus. The host explained everything about check-in and made it very easy. She responded to a question while we were there very quickly. The security staff at the apartment were friendly. If we get back to Puerto Rico we would absolutely stay here again.

This property was amazing! From the security guards to our view from the 20th floor. To start, the host was great. Although we didn't meet in person, her ability to answer our questions and see to our needs quickly, made her feel close by. We check-in went as she said and was a smooth process. Even at 5a. The home was cozy and spacious for the 4 of us. Doorway entrance to the baths were small for my husband's wheelchair. However with other accessible amenities this apt/property had to offer, the bath doorways were an easy adjustment for him. The property was approx 1mile from the kiosks. The locals, food, beach, water activities and music are amongst the finest.

Enjoyed our stay, but…

Owner did not send instructions on how to get into the apartment and tried to blame it on the VRBO web site. She also indicated the unit was air conditioned although there was no A/C in the main living room and dining room. That needs to be clarified on the description. It was very uncomfortable most of the time..

PERFECT LOCATION!

my family & I, loved luquillo. we are so glad we didn’t stay in San Juan. Our view was AMAZING, to the right you saw a breathtaking ocean view & to the left we were able to see el yunque (national rain forest). The condo is near by EVERYTHING & the kiosks down the street had all kinds of AMAZING FOODS. I can’t say enough about the location! We will definitely stay there again!

It was ehh

We were told to take the elevator to the 21st floor and then take a flight of stairs down. They don’t offer any assistance/help. So we had to take the elevator all the way up and my husband had to carry me down the flight of stairs to the 20th floor all the way to the apartment to then go get my power chair and carry that down. To then do the opposite the next day to do down. I did contact the host who just basically told me it’s out of her control and it’s better to be carried down than up. I had to file with Vbro to get her to get them to fix it asap after about 2 days. The elevator has not been serviced in over 4 year’s, ridiculous! They don’t put in the description the elevator isn’t serviced, old and iffy. Never mind the many broken windows. Days later after checking out the host sends a message saying we left stains on a pillowcase and bed sheet which I know was a lie because no one ate nor did anything on the beds besides sleep because we were out all day enjoying our vacation. She claimed to hav pictures but failed to send any. Although it looked and smelled clean there were little bugs that looked like mites all over the floor in the kitchen and living room area no matter how much we swept. But other than that we enjoyed Puerto Rico! If you don’t mind iffy elevators, bugs and stained towels along with a rude host then enjoy your stay here.

Location, location, location!

Super safe high rise condo. Walking distance to grocery, Walgreens, restaurants, kiosks. We enjoyed the tennis courts and very uncrowded beach. The condo was equipped with beach chairs, noodles and miscellaneous items that were super useful like dish detergent. Host was very responsive to my questions. Beach and pool gate locked at 7 pm daily. Many friendly cats who enjoyed the treats we brought. The balcony was awesome for viewing the thunderstorms rolling through. Definitely highly recommend.

Great Everything

The apartment has everything you could want for your vacation stay including beach chairs! Fully stocked kitchen, lots of towels and comfy furniture. You couldn't ask for a better property manager, Susana was fantastic. Can't wait to book again!

Excellent time at Playa Azul Apartment in Luquillo, PR

My daughters and I had a great time staying at this apartment. It is not luxurious, but it had everything we needed: 3 beds, 2 bathrooms, common area, and kitchen. The best part was the location: close to many beaches, El Yunque, and Farjado, where you can take a snorkeling trip or do a kayaking bio bay tour. If you stay here, please try Balneario Beach and Seven Seas Beach. Both are super calm and great beaches. You can also swim at Playa Azul beach, but walk to. where the waves break further out from shore as this is protected by the reef. Don’t swim where it’s not protected or the rip current can be dangerous. Had some trouble with the door on the first day. You have to figure this out. You have to pull the door closed all the way and turn the key all the way. The place had some quirks, but the view and location was excellent. We enjoyed our trip. Susana and her husband were great. Very responsive and welcoming. Helped us to understand the area and nearby beaches and restaurants. One place I found that I recommend is Cafecito Rustico for breakfast. Not fancy, but great coffee and pancakes. Amigo and Walgreens are nearby. I recommend that you rent a car to get around. Please choose a well known car rental company. I tried NU car rental, because they were inexpensive on Expedia, but the service was slow. We waited 2 hours in the rain to get our car and they jacked up the price from what Expedia showed.

Good for a budget

Great view of the beach. Not too far from san juan with a rental. The building could use some paint and the apartment is a bit outdated. Area is sparse with available needs. However if you are from PR, you will be comfy. Good security though. If you are on a budget and are looking to explore more than just san juan, this works.

Great location!

Overall, this place is nice for the price paid. The accommodations are not fancy, but they are adequate and are one of the few options this close to Luquillo Beach. Basically, you have two master bedrooms since both bedrooms had connecting baths. The apartment had an adequate supply of kitchen utensils, bath towels, and appliances - with both a washing machine and dryer that were super convenient. Although there was direct beach access to Playa Azul from the condo, in a two minute drive we went to Luquillo Beach which is a beautiful, calm beach and worthy of the top ten beaches in PR status. This apartment is on the 20th floor and offers amazing views and crosswinds, but if you are slightly afraid of heights it could be a little scary. Security to the parking and condo entrance was great to have and all attendants were very welcoming.
