THE SPACE
Step into classic Spanish colonial design, with teak-framed windows, clay tile floors, and rich wood tray ceilings that give the space character and charm. The space is open and welcoming with a cozy seating area, table and chairs for four, set along the wrap around windows and doors leading to the wrap around, private patio. strong Wi-Fi, and AC to keep you cool after a warm day of exploring. The fully stocked kitchenette includes propane stove, refrigerator, cookware, and everything needed to prepare meals at home—whether it’s fresh coffee in the morning or dinner with a view at sunset.

The bedroom offers a plush king bed, cooling air conditioning, storage space, with bay and garden views. The newly remodeled large bathroom has a double vanity, double head shower, and offers hot water and fresh linens for your comfort. For convenience during longer stays, the home is equipped with a separate laundry room, with washer and dryer.

Glass doors open to the expansive, covered wrap around balcony—a true highlight of this property. Watch fishing boats drift in the bay, listen to the morning calls of tree monkeys and tropical birds, and end your days with unforgettable sunset skies.


THE LOCATION: Walkable Convenience Meets Peaceful Privacy
This hillside home is located just a short walk from downtown San Juan del Sur. You can easily stroll to restaurants, coffee shops, beach bars, and markets—or catch a shuttle to nearby surf beaches like Playa Maderas or Playa Hermosa. Then, return home to your peaceful hillside retreat, where the town noise fades into ocean breezes and rustling palms.

No car is required. Many guests enjoy the freedom of walking into town and returning on foot or by taxi if needed. The guest book provides options for food and grocery delivery for those choosing a day in. And onsite parking is available for guests with vehicles.

This home may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges due to stairs and hillside layout common in the Pelican Eyes resort.

WHAT TO KNOW
This home was the original spa for the Pelican Eyes Resort. It is unique in the resort in that it is one of very few detached homes in the community, with plenty of space between the house and other units offering privacy for our guests. The home is a two story building with a lower and upper level that is connected by an exterior staircase between the two levels. Each level is rented separately with no access between the two units. The upstair balcony is large and wraps around the side of the house to the stairs and has complete privacy from view of the lower level. Likewise the lower level covered patio is clear of the view from the upper level, offering complete privacy for all guests.
