Santana Row is an upscale outdoor shopping mall in the heart of San Jose. Santana Row offers a mix of brand name shops, local boutiques, twenty restaurants, nine spas and salons, CineArts movie theatre, and the boutique hotel Hotel Valencia. The shops range from luxury brands such as Gucci and Kate Spade to more casual brands like Diesel, H&M, Ann Taylor LOFT, and Urban Outfitters. Also on The Row include restaurants ranging from local concepts like Left Bank Brasserie and sister restaurant LB Steak, Pizza Antica, and EMC Seafood Bar, to chains like The Counter, Maggiano's Little Italy, Blue Bottle Coffee and a Yard House. This condo is very clean and kept up to date with no expense spared. The pictures reflect it's current state and there are no surprises. This loft is directly on Santana Row street above Paper Source and Parker Warber. From your window you can see Tesla Motors, Straits Cafe, Gucci, and Cocola Bakery. It's really the ultimate location if you are staying on Santana Row or San Jose.

Spacious and well appointed accommodations. All the comforts of home in a safe and convenient setting. Johnny is an excellent host.

Nice property, but not clean
We’re in the middle of a pandemic at the moment. The property was described as being disinfected and high touch areas being cleaned. That was not the case during our stay. Light switches, appliance handles and buttons, all had visible dirt, finger prints, and other grime on them. We cleaned many of them ourselves just so we could feel moderately comfortable. We don’t want to get sick. The bathroom floors were filthy, if you ran your toe back and forth a shiny bright clean line formed. Especially in the downstairs bath. The downstairs bath rug is somewhat dark but appeared to not have been washed in a long time as it was visibly dark in areas. The sheets on the downstairs bed seemed clean. However, the grey pillow shams had white spots that look like snot or.. I don’t even want to think about it. The only other cover besides the sheets is a grey comforter that matches the shams. I don’t know how often that is cleaned, but considering the state of the rest of the property, I was hard to sleep in imagining the germs on the linens. There are blankets in the closets, but they look old and didn’t seem clean so we didn’t even try. There are throw pillows on the sectional, and I’m guessing the owners weren’t aware, but every time we set them somewhere or moved them, pubic hairs were coming off of them. So we were grossed out even further. We reserved the unit for four people, and they provided exactly 4 plates, bowls, etc. one kitchen towel, that we discovered after we arrived from traveling though the airport and dried our hands on. We usually have a different hand towel in the kitchen, and another to dry dishes, for sanitary reasons. There were 4 bath towels, which is ok, but females usually need another towel for our hair. And frankly, the towels seemed very thin and not great. They provided lots of one-ply toilet paper. The unit has a lot of nice stone finishes, it’s in a great location. But, it wasn’t clean and seemed so cheap and Nicole and dimed that we wouldn’t come back or even suggest anyone we know stay there. In fact, we would warn them away. And that’s sad, we work for companies and have free travel benefits. We know a lot of people who travel a lot and are looking for new and fun places to stay. The host did make check in pretty easy. And, if it weren’t so dirty and have such cheap linens and toilet paper, I would be giving a totally different review.

In the middle of the action!
The condo views Santana Row and you are right in the middle of dozens of restaurants bars and shops. Johnny’s place looks exactly like the pictures, and artfully decorated. It was spotlessly clean. The underground parking spot is essential given all the traffic on the row. Tip: when leaving the garage always turn left and get out to Steven’s Creek Road through a neighborhood. Come in the same way once you get the lay of the land. I fully expected this but be aware the condo has no interior walls so be prepared to have everyone get up at the same time. The noise from the row was less of a problem than I expected. Things quiet down pretty early. We loved our trip to San Jose.

The Row Villa
This condo was in a great location-close to shops and restaurants. The decor was stylish. The cleanliness was terrible. Sticky counters and floors. Crumbs and food on kitchen floor. Minimal utensils for cooking and minimal glasses and coffee cups.
