San Gimignano is a beautiful town. We were off season so many of the shops and restaurants and some attractions we closed, but still there was lots to do and see, and enough good restaurants. And of course there were no crowds which was lovely. We took a Chianti region wine tour with Bruno and it was fantastic. We learned so much, and Bruno is a gem. The apartment was cute and very convenient to everything in town. It also had lovely views. It’s a medieval building that has been updated for today, but unsurprisingly there are some hiccups that can occur. However, everything was manageable and the host and housekeeper were very helpful. San Gimignano is a walking town and it is steep so it’s not a place for people with physical limitations, but if you can walk well it is a wonderful place.

Very clean and cute property in San Gimignano. Property was clean and close to many shops and the best restaurant with an amazing view. Fabio, the host, was incredible and helpful! He communicated well and was highly patient with us as we tried navigating the various train/bus system in Europe to get to San Gimignano. He also connected us with his upstairs neighbor, Dr. Bruno, who was our wine tour guide. Dr. Bruno had a wealth of knowledge about the Tuscan region and beautiful San Gimignano! My wife and I were truly satisfied with our honeymoon trip!

This is a beautifully appointed apartment in the city center. The apartment is comfortable and close to everything. We appreciated the contactless check in (we found this rare in Italy), well stocked kitchen, and reliable WiFi. The only issue we had was that we were asked to dispose of our own trash, however all trash receptacles around San Gimignano require an access card. We travelled by car, so we took our trash to the next stop on our itinerary but this is not optimal.

Wonderful Apartment in a Wonderful Location

The apartment is a perfect combination of old world charm with modern convenience. It was a perfect location for my wife and I and our 15 year old daughter. Bathroom was very modern as we are the furnishing but still maintaining the charm of the location. It is 5 minutes to the center of town where there are a huge selection of dining and drinking options. The crowds disparate when the last tour buses leave and San Gimi is a whole different place in the evenings. Fabio was a great host and provided wonderful instructions on arriving and how to navigate parking. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back if we are in the same area.

Convenient location

The casa is conveniently located in San Gimi. The bed was comfortable, kitchen had what we needed as far as dishes go. The water doesn’t taste great so be sure to get a supply of water bottles. The only reason we didn’t give this a 5 star review was because there was a plumbing issue or something that caused a bad odor mostly in the bathroom. It’s worth staying at. Just be sure to ask Fabio about the plumbing. And you can’t beat the view out the kitchen window!

Great place & Location

Casa San Gimi was perfect for our 1 night stay in San Gimignano! The apartment was clean, spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The views out the windows are beautiful too! It was right in town, which was perfect for us. Just a few minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants and the views are breathtaking!

Wonderful stay we experienced at "Casa San Gimi"! location is perfect just a stone's away from Piazza d Cisterna, the heart of San Gimignano. Situated in close proximity to every imaginable attraction, entering "Casa San Gimi," we were greeted with a "wow." The place was clean, with attention to details. The decor blended modern elements with the allure of the past. The air conditioning was a definite plus, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The quaint frame window that allowed us to enjoy our meals while gazing out at the picturesque Tuscan fields. The sensation upon entering San Gimignano is like stepping back in time, We ended up staying longer to allowed us to delve into the beauty of the town. We are already planning a return visit to stay longer and to use "San Gimi" as our base to explore Tuscany. we recommend it as the ultimate accommodation choice in the heart of Tuscany.
