The Space:
Main bedroom has a king bed, secondary bedroom a queen, third bedroom contains a bunk bed with a pull out bed for a total of 3 sleeping individuals (best for the kids!). Home has two entrances, one on the side of the house just steps away from two designated car ports for your convenience.

Great location between the Strandway and the ocean side boardwalk, in a quiet area. However, it was colder inside the house than outside (temps around 60/50 F) in December because the window air conditioning units were still in place and left the house quite open to the fog and cold. And apparently, there is no heating, so be aware of that for winter stays. Everything fabric -- bedding, sofas -- felt clammy and cold. When I messaged the manager, the response was to "feel free to use the extra blankets." We are from the PNW and have stayed on the Oregon coast many times in damp weather and never felt as chilled there as we were in this Mission Beach house. Our stay was just two nights, fortunately. Otherwise, the house offers a room for each, two bathrooms and a good location for our family of 4. We were happy to have beach towels and chairs to use, plus the outside courtyard and designated parking.

Well Maintained Bright, Clean Home

We have been going to San Diego for the past 4 years and staying in a variety of VRBOs. This is the FIRST VRBO home that was completely stocked (more than enough forks/knives, glassware, plates etc), everything worked, (including the bbq and window shades), and the furniture and beds, including the pillows, were very comfortable. Such a pleasure to sit/lay down on a comfortable couch in a bright family room and relax. I thank the Magical Mission Beach team for detailed care of this home. Highly recommend for both adults and families with children. We will be back. Thank you.

Great beach location!

We enjoyed a family spring break beach vacation at this wonderful beach house, which is quite literally steps from the beach. It was well stocked with spices, beach toys, regular toys and games, beach towels and various kitchen utensils. The magic mission beach staff were very responsive and communicative before and during the stay, they also brought over shampoo on the fly for free (shampoo and conditioner oddly isn’t provided). The house is a bit older like most in mission beach but it’s in great shape and has been renovated. We enjoyed bbq dinner on the outdoor patio and checked out some of the other restaurants and cafes nearby. We would definitely stay at this beach house again and highly recommend it! It was a great fit for our family of 4 including two younger kids.

Spring Break Fun

Our family stayed here 4 nights for Spring Break. We loved the location and felt the neighborhood was very safe. Quick walk to the beach and many excellent restaurants in walking distance. The house had all the amenities we needed and we enjoyed grilling out. Very cute outdoor patio area. We hope to be back!

Perfect San Diego getaway

Our multi generational family had a fantastic stay here. The home was as advertised. It was spotless, well supplied and in a superb location just steps from the beach. We had an issue with the refrigerator, but the problem was solved quickly and to our satisfaction. Plenty of beach supplies provided. Relaxing on the patio in the evening and was wonderful. We will be back.

We loved our stay at the Duranzo Beach House! Magical Mission Beach Properties were always helpful and friendly with managing our booking and when we had a small concern with the property! We would definitely stay here again!! Proximity to the beach was great and being able to watch the sunset each night and chat with the neighbors was fun!!Drive time was 15-20 min to major attractions and sightseeing locations!!

Overall the location was great, just 40 meters from the beach. We had a nice holiday break at this property. The cleanliness could be improved, upon checkin we had to vacuum multiple rooms to clear hairs and dirt.

Magical Mission Beach Cottage

We loved our stay at Magical Mission Beach Cottage. Family of 6, all adults. Communication was easy and clear, no issues during our stay. 1/2 block from the boardwalk and a nice stroll to restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful cottage 30 seconds from the sand! Great for families with children: travel crib, high chair, gate, booster seat, books, games… Beds and furnishings were comfy inside and on the patio. Hosts were attentive and quick in answering questions and communicating. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice Beach House

Clean, has all the kitchen supplies and beach supplies you need. A short walk to the beach (3 houses away). Beds and pillows very comfortable, extra blankets if you need them. Parking pics are smaller than they appear- we only had one full size explorer and fit fine, could fit two cars if needed, not 3. Would stay again!

Perfect getaway

Our multi-generational family loves ‘our’ beach house! This was our 4th annual stay and we are already planning our next year’s trip. The communication with the management company is top notch. The house has everything you need for a fun beach weekend for a family. Just bring your food and drinks, and bathing suit! You can see the ocean from the front gate, and it’s just a very short walk to get to the sand. It’s a few blocks from Belmont Park and bubblegum park. You and your family can’t go wrong by renting this perfect little beach house!

The perfect staye

If you have young kids and want to stay on the beach, this house is perfect. It’s pretty hard to find a single story home one block from the beach and walking distance to mission beach boardwalk, until we stumbled upon this GEM! The house is perfect for babies, toddlers, kids, or just adults! They have a pack and play, high chair, and plenty of toddler approved plates, cups, spoons, etc. The patio is enclosed so your toddler won’t run off. The house is very well equipped in the kitchen and bedrooms. Lots of extra fans and blankets. They also have plenty of beach towels. The house was super clean. I’m a bit of a clean freak so it was a big deal that I felt comfortable enough to walk barefoot in the home. We used the grill one night which was very easy to use. Love that the family who owns the home have family photos on the wall. The rental company was super accommodating and easy to communicate with. They checked in on us daily via text. I fully intend on renting this home again and working with this property management company. Highly recommend the home and using the MMB for all of your stays in this area.

Fabulous stay in the perfect location

We were in San Diego to celebrate our daughter's college graduation and used the cottage as "home base." It was wonderful! Every amentity needed was provided and the house was cozy and comfortable. Our out-of-state family loved the 30 second walk to the ocean and the outdoor courtyard/patio. The beds were very confortable and there were plenty of extra pillows (love that!) and cozy blankets for the living room. We'd love to come back!

Awesome Spring Break!

Quaint beach bungalow, a block from the beach, two blocks from Belmont. My kids and I walked everywhere and enjoyed what MB & PB had to offer. Farmers market in PB, Plunge, sunsets, and memories. Thank you.
