We booked a couple weeks in advance and I made sure to send a message to Eric immediately upon booking. I received no reply until the day of the booking with a general copy pasted reply about the property. My mother arrived on the evening of the booking. The lock box did not work for the entry gate but she was able to access the gate by using a card to slide the lock open. It was late so as long as she was able to enter the home and secure herself she didn’t feel it warranted alerting the host. She took accountability that perhaps it was user error. She noted small things like marks on all of the walls, no dish towels, and low quality bedding but again it wasn’t enough to warrant reaching out to the host.My partner and I arrived the next evening. I immediately went to the upstairs bathroom and found the shower covered in pink MOLD. The mold was so pronounced that it was obvious that it had not been cleaned for a very long time. The glass shower doors, mirrors, and shower head were filthy. There was no way we were staying in a space where we could not bathe so we left.It was very obvious that the 90 cleaning fee Eric charges was a scam as there were cobwebs, stained chairs, unswept stairs, food on the dishwasher, poorly cleaned counters and refrigerator are things no professional cleaner would leave. After initially refusing accountability, Eric finally agreed to refund the final night. He refused to refund the cleaning fee. Vrbo took accountability where Eric refused to
