Seventeen Right Here!!!

Beautiful Home! We would stay here again for our next K-POP Concert. Home was very very clean, and it provided everything for our stay. The beds were soooo comfortable, we slept like Kings! You can tell the owners take such great pride in their home! Thank you! We walked to our Venue, The Frost Bank Center, only a 25 minute walk. There were a couple of stray dogs, but they were used to people and kept to themselves. The next Day we went to the Alamo, Riverwalk, Chinese Botanical Gardens, and enjoyed the restaurants just a short drive to all. If you’re in town , I’d highly highly recommend staying here. Pura Vida’s Hugo and Nella will take really great care of you!

Perfect Gem in San Antonio

Perfect oasis! The location to the Riverwalk and Convention Center is ideal. The neighborhood is economically depressed in parts, but we never felt unsafe. Shopping and ATM is nearby. I recommend Tank’s Pizza. The property is beautiful and well labeled. Everything needed was there. The hosts were responsive and welcoming. I will stay again if needed.

Perfect location to enjoy the River Walk & Pearl District

The Pura Vida House was a perfect spot for our girlfriends’ trip to San Antonio. We were close to the River Walk & Pearl District which we enjoyed immensely. We spent every morning enjoying coffee & conversation in the comfort of Pura Vida. Thank you for sharing your home & providing everything we needed for a memorable stay in San Antonio.

Nice place!

House and accommodations are awesome. The neighborhood is not suitable for walks, but as a jumping off place it is perfect. The owners are great communicators!

Home away from home.

The house is modern, immaculate and beautifully decorated. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve experienced. Very close to Riverwalk. I will say the neighborhood wasn’t great but still felt safe. I would definitely recommend this house!!!

Beautiful home

First Night

Well, the first night there was a bit rough. Went to get groceries after we unloaded from trip there. Coming back just at dark and the police had the whole neighborhood blocked off to where we couldn’t even get back to the rental. The policeman we spoke with said that someone had shot at a police officer and they were looking for them and that it was best if we didn’t stay in the area that night! Well being all our stuff was already in the rental we didn’t have much of a choice. So we had to go figure out what to do and keep busy till they were gone. It was after midnight before we were able to get back to the rental. None the less we were all an bit on edge the rest of the stay. It is a bit of a sketchy neighborhood but we didn’t have any problems after that. I did contact management about it and they were somewhat apoplectic, but said something about some changes goin on in government and so forth. I’m assuming this has happened in the past. They do need to put that on their website if you ask me. But like I stated there wasn’t any other problems. Even though that was plenty for us to be worried the rest of our vacation. Just hate that it happened the 1st night as well.

Lovely home

Loves the house everything is updated! When we first checked in power was out due to bad storm passing through, other than that I enjoyed the stay and family time. I am looking forward to visiting again soon

Super clean property!

Property is very clean and well maintained. Close to AT&T perfect for us while livestock showing at San Antonio livestock show. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful Home

Like new home with extremely comfortable beds. Felt like the kitchen could have been better equipped with different size pots and pans. Absolutely no back yard or bbq pit. Only negative is area/neighborhood is a bit shady with lots of construction going on but overall felt safe. I would recommend for a weekend getaway.

Great, safe, and, beautiful!

Had my Harry Potter bachelorette here with my family and it was a very nice clean house very pretty and they have everything so nicely labeled. The space was open making it a perfect place to be able to talk while in the living space kitchen and dinning area! We played lots of bored games and watched Harry Potter and it was perfect! Very happy and would most definitely stay here again!

Great Home Base for Activity Driven Trip

Our trip was very activity oriented, so time at property was minimal. However, hosts were great! Easy access, clear communication, and seamless check-in / check-out. Surrounding area is going through a revitalization (construction on main street and housing) so you will see neighborhood in various phases. The unit was very clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable, and ceiling fans in bedrooms are a big plus for sleeping. WiFi speed kept up with multiple devices all using video. UBER rides were $12 to Riverwalk and other Downtown event areas. If you are there for a weekend event(s) I would highly recommend. Out stay was wonderful.

Review

The location is not the best but the security on the house made me feel safe when inside. Since there is no grill a george foreman grill would be a great addition. There were limited paper towels. There is limited dishwasher detergent (enough for 2 loads). There is no laundry detergent. There was enough toilet paper for our visit. The owners were great in communicating with us even though it was Labor Day weekend!

Questionable Neighborhood

First let me state the Pura Vida house was absolutely beautiful. One of the newest and best VRBOs we have stayed in. However, the neighborhood was a surprisingly worrisome as we drove up. I believe this area is going through the process of regentrification and once it’s done will be beautiful. Overall, the house is an amazing house and all the pictures are true to form.

Excellent Customer Service

I can't praise Hugo and Nella enough. Their house is beautiful and practically new. The accommodations in their home is fantastic-you feel at home. To me, customer service is EVERYTHING and theirs is unmatched! They are great to work with and that alone sealed the deal for me 🙂

Almost a Five

Everything about this rental was absolutely gorgeous except the location. The inside was pristine. Beautiful furnishings and exceptionally clean. Communication from the owner was clear and prompt. The neighborhood was pretty shady. We had no real trouble and the outside was well lit, but there was loud music until around 11:00 and lots of dogs barking at night. We really overall enjoyed our stay very much, but couldn’t quite give it 5 stars.
