The South Central Texas Retreat is a very private, serene and peaceful refuge in a small gated community. The 1800sf, 3 bed/2 bath home is situated on a 1 acre lot on the edge of the Texas Hill Country and the Edwards Plateau.
We are a convenient 5-7 minutes away from city amenities. A modest 30 minute drive to downtown attractions of the City of San Antonio or the tubing attractions of Schlitterbahn or the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers.
We are less than a 5 minute drive to the Natural Bridge Caverns/Wildlife Ranch and the Bat Cave Conservatory site.
Fiesta Texas is a modest 30 minute drive and Sea World a 40 minute drive.
Boutique cities of Wimberly, Fredericksburg, Kerrville and Boerne are a 1hr to 1hr and 15 min drive respectively through the scenic Texas Hill Country.
Seasonal Festivities in our area include the San Antonio Rodeo and Livestock Exhibition (Feb), Fiesta (April/SA), NCAA Men’s Final Four (April) Valero Texas Open Golf Tournament (April), Randolph AFB Air Show (May), Wurstfest (Nov/New Braunfels) , Windcrest Festival of Lights (Dec), San Antonio Riverwalk Festival of Lights (Thanksgiving until Christmas) and the Valero AlamoBowl (late Dec) plus many more.
Other attractions include the historic Alamo, San Antonio Missions NP, SA Zoo , SA Botanical Gardens, The Pearl Fine Dining and Entertainment District, Morgan’s Wonderland and Gruene’s Live Entertainment.
Our BnB offers a cozy setting for a girls weekend get away.
After a busy day of activities, our BnB offers a quiet, private and peaceful respite to recharge your “batteries”.
The BnB offers comfortable accommodations for up to 6 persons and is pet friendly. We offer a variety of coffees with a Keurig coffee maker. A drip coffee maker is also available. Green Tea is also available with a variety of fruit juices and bottled water.
A selection basket of snacks is made available as well as pastries for the first morning is provided.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the wrap around front porch or covered back patio and enjoy natures views.
The kitchen is fully stocked for any meal preparation or a gas grill that you can grill your steaks/burgers/chicken or salmon on the patio.
Enjoy a bean bag toss game in the back yard to close out your days activities.
The large screen TV in the Living Room offers 60+ broadcast channels, 100+ Samsung Internet Channels and Roku capabilities to view programs on any of your streaming services.
Simple access to the internet by scanning the QR code on the wall of the breakfast area or tent cards throughout. No worry with having the correct password.

San Antonio International Airport is a 30 minute drive and Austin Bergstrom Airport approx 1hr 20 min drive away.
