The photos show a fireplace but upon arrival, the instructions said not to use the fireplace. Not an issue for us in the summer but if someone was hoping for a cozy fire, they would be disappointed. "The home was very clean and family-friendly. The five of us thought the space was perfect and so much better than having to get 2 hotel rooms. My 81 year old mom has mobility issues so accessing either shower was not a safe option for her. The home’s location, set back from the cul de sac with another home was initially surprising but it was always very quiet and the view of the bay was nice. "I booked the rental on less than 24 hours notice. The owner was terrific. She communicated clearly beforehand, had great information about the area waiting in the space, and leaving was very easy too. She even reached out to see if I needed to extend by a day. This is located midway between Eureka and Arcata and was very convenient. The kitchen had everything I needed and everything was clean and comfortable. I hope to return sometime. "
