Dog Friendly - Sound View Home on private harbor. Amazing Sunsets-Fishing-Dock

Nauti-Dog located in a private harbor neighborhood, with views of the sound and harbor with stunning sunsets. And since the island is so narrow, you can see the beach from our balcony! Nauti-Dog has four bedrooms and sleeps 11, with several levels of decks with views of both the sound and the ocean. Enjoy modern, comfortable furnishings. The first floor features a king bedroom suite facing the sound. Another king bedroom shares a bath with a bunk room (twin over queen bed). This house has a media room with queen sleep sofa. The top floor features an additional king bedroom suite, as well as a living room, dining room and gourmet kitchen. Spacious granite countertops, appliances, and pantry complete the fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy beautiful views from the living room or share a meal on the deck facing the sound. Nauti-dog includes access to all the amenities of Black Dog Harbor, including a boat ramp, boat slip, basketball hoop and has their own cornhole game. Enjoy fishing, kayaking/paddle boarding/boating (bring your own or rent from local establishments) from the harbor, dock and head down to the gazebo at sunset for to take in the sunsetting across Pamlico Sound. Salvo is quite narrow, so while you'll be overlooking the sound, the beach is only a quarter mile away, a short walk or bike ride, or pack your car with chairs and a cooler and park near beach access or drive your SUV on the beach.

We provide linens to include, bedding, sheets, pillowcases, kitchen and bathroom towels.

Nauti-Dog accommodates up to 11 guests (maximum of 8 adults).

Well-behaved Adult dogs (maximum of two) are welcome with payment of non-refundable pet fee ($250 per dog, per stay). No puppies - meaning no dogs under 1 year.

House was perfect for our family vacation. This was the first time we stayed in a house not ocean-side, and I was a bit nervous we’d be disappointed in the location. And we WERE NOT! The pier and gazebo were definitely worth the trade for the short walk to the beach. We hit the beach every day and fished and paddle boarded on the sound every evening. It was a dream! House was very clean and beds are super comfy. Kitchen was well stocked also. 10/10- highly recommend!!

The house was cute and located close to the dock for fishing. Sunsets were gorgeous and beach access was across the street with a little walk but easy to access. The place was very clean and spacious for my families stay.

Best family stay in the OBX

Newer home with great views of the sound, kids loved being able to kayak and paddleboard in the sound. Layout is great for a family and location is great. For kiters or windsurfers you can see who is at Salvo or at Real from the property, makes planning sessions easy!

Renewed Spirits

We didn't get sunny days and starry nights. It was more like rainey days and stormy nights. But it was everything we needed. A comfortable house with plenty of room to relax. We strengthend our friendships over hours of sharing thoughts, dreams and future plans to do this again. We laughed a lot and shed a few tears (good tears). Everyone was so thankful for the time we shared and loved everything about the house. Thanks again!

Great Family Vacation House!

We love this property! Beautiful, updated, clean, modern home fit 8 of us extremely comfortably with room for more. The 3 King bedrooms with attached bathrooms are fantastic for multiple couples and the kids loved the bunk and game rooms. We honestly can’t say enough about this property and Black Dog Harbor neighborhood as a whole. The views and access to the sound are fantastic all while within a short walk from the ocean. Owner/property manager is local and extremely helpful, friendly, and available. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Family beach trip

We couldn’t of asked for a better beach get away! The house was beautiful. My sons loved the bball court. We loved sitting out on deck watching sunset. The beds were so comfy. We hope and def will return again! Salvo was amazing

Get into the doghouse

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nauti-Dog house. The location in Salvo is excellent if you're looking for some quiet beach days. It has close access to both sound and ocean beaches that are not very populated while still being close enough to supermarkets and a few restaurants. The Harbor on the property is very scenic and has a wonderful gazebo at the end of the pier overlooking the sound. The sunsets are a great way to end the day here (or from the house deck). The house itself was very clean. The layout was good for large families, being able to be spaced while having room to come together. The big round table in the dining area was great for meals and games. The outdoor shower is great (just remember to bring some soap). The owner's responsiveness to requests was excellent. We had forgot to ask for a pack and play but the owner's were able to track one down and deliver it to us the same night we had arrived.

Wonderful house for a family vacation

Absolutely spotless, beautifully decorated, and comfortable for all ages. We were here with three separate families - five children under ten. It was a great place to be together. Definitely consider this for your OBX vacation!

Phenomenal

Dawn and company were fantastic from the beginning of the process throughout the end. It was our 25th year anniversary and we had two homes right next to each other. Both homes were spectacular. The scenery and area is outstanding. We used the boat slip, the kayaks and enjoyed the gazebo. It was quiet at night and gorgeous during the day. Thank you for making our 25th anniversary special!

Wonderful Property

Nauti Dog was everything we hoped it would be! The house is beautiful and very clean. The kitchen has everything we needed…and more! Location was perfect. Just what we needed

Super clean and beautifully decorated with everything you need in the kitchen. We cooked and played board games left there on a rainy day. On the beautiful days we were a short drive to a beach that was amazing for both the kids and dog! Right outside we played basketball and cornhole and walked the dock to see so many gosh and crabs. We also enjoyed the two beautiful decks and watched the sunset and windsurfers. It was a great stay.

First trip to Salvo was wonderful thanks to a beautiful, clean, spacious yet cozy stay at the Nauti-Dog. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the bay and riding bikes around the town.

Holiday Getaway

We just returned home from a lovely stay at this property. The house is wonderfully situated in a great grouping of newer homes. We were greeted by the most magnificent sunset over the sound and walked out the the gazebo to watch it. The beach is accessible by a short walk or many public access points that were just a short drive away. Lots of fun excursions like the Hatteras Lighthouse, Pea Island Nature Wildlife Refuge, and more! We explored many different stretches of beach over the days we were visiting. The property owners provided a great guest guide book upon booking, which was super helpful throughout the stay. The pictures were very accurate, which does not always happen with rental listings. Very minor cleanliness things like the sink not draining well, baseboards and air returns very dusty and some grimy dishes. Please do not let this deter you from staying, the overall cleanliness of the house was great and the furnishings are modern and comfortable! We packed most of our food, but there are a few markets and a supermarket close by. Note: if you travel in the off season, like we did, many of the local businesses and eateries are closed. Make sure to call places and plan some meals ahead during this time of year. A wonderful stay and we hope to visit this lovely property again! We would highly recommend this property!

Amazing Getaway

This was my family's first time in OBX and this house made the trip. Super clean place with comfy beds and lots of space. The street is very quiet and family friendly. Great views of the sunset from the decks. Highly recommend!

Great vacation getaway

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful family retreat - book this rental immediately! It was clean, spacious for a family of four and a short drive across the street to the beach! We cooked our meals in the beautiful kitchen and enjoyed spending quality time together. All of our neighbors were friendly and we made new friends! Thank you Nauti Dog for making our first time in OBX memorable! We can't wait to return!
