Villa Porta Azzurra is located in a quiet, but not isolated, area close to the sea on the Ionian coast, in a splendid natural setting of Mediterranean scrub. The property manifests its charm in a building with a modern design well mixed with typical elements of Apulian architectural tradition that give it a strong territorial appeal. Its characteristic circular stone entrance leads to the comfortable living area that will fascinate you with the freshness of the furnishing elements and the elegant and essential materials which enhance the soft colours of Salento stone. The sitting room, attractive dining room and the kitchen, which make up this area of the main villa, communicate with each other and are connected to the outside by large windows with access to the terrace overlooking the sea and next to the swimming pool. From here you can easily move to the set-up outdoor areas which make this home the ideal place to spend a peaceful holiday. In the surrounding garden are many relaxation spots thanks to large shady areas permeated by the scents of the typical vegetation. The villa's location, close to the beautiful beaches of the municipality of Salve, allows for fishing tourism activities, for boat and nature excursions, and for attending the many festivals organised in neighbouring towns with music and tasting of typical dishes. Located on the Ionian side along the coast road from Torre Pali to Pescoluse, it is easy to reach the most popular tourist resorts. It is in fact about 15 km from Santa Maria di Leuca, 40 km from Gallipoli, 50 km from Otranto, 70 km from Lecce.
Interior:
The property, of contemporary design, features stone walls and cheerful blue wooden doors. It consists of the main villa and an annex, not internally connected, which are distributed on two levels following the terraced morphology of the garden. VILLA. It develops on the ground floor only; past the circular entrance in exposed stone, the warm parquet flooring will accompany you, on one side, to the living area and, on the opposite side, to the sleeping area. The living area is distinguished by a large bright sitting room facing the garden, connected to the lovely space used as a dining room and adjacent to the small but functional kitchen. On the other side is the sleeping area consisting of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with joinable beds, both with sea view and adjacent to the large bathroom with shower. ANNEX. It develops on the lower floor and is accessed via a flight of steps from the ground floor. The entrance leads into a large bright living room, characterised by vaulted and cathedral ceilings and exposed stone walls, with kitchen and double sofa bed. Thanks to the French windows, it becomes one with the furnished veranda onto which it opens and which is an integral part of the garden. A double bedroom and a bathroom with shower complete the floor.
Park:
Villa Porta Azzurra lies in a setting of lush Mediterranean scrub that almost completely surrounds it along the fenced perimeter of the property. Past the automatic entrance gate, a gravel drive leads to a large space used as a parking area. The park of the villa features Mediterranean plants and the characteristic myrtle; the olive trees provide many pleasant shady spots for relaxing on hot summer days. Close to the living areas is a large veranda, equipped with a barbecue and a large dining table in olive wood with comfortable designer chairs. This area is next to the infinity pool, in an elevated position with sea view, and is connected across the lawn with the dining area at the exit of the annex, with close by a handy outdoor shower and a practical laundry space. There is no shortage of green areas from which to enjoy the view of the splendid blue sea.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The infinity pool of Villa Porta Azzurra is situated right in the centre of the property and in front of the living area of the main body which is only a few steps away. The rectangular pool, measuring 5 x 8 m with a maximum depth of 1.40 m, is lined in sand-coloured PVC and has chlorine purification, internal and external lighting, and five large submerged steps for access to the water. The sunbathing area along the short side of the pool has non-slip paving, marking the perimeter, and is equipped with sunbeds. The pool will be available to guests from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.
