The Space:

A real treat awaits on the fourth floor of this Victorian townhouse in Saltburn-by-the sea. The luxury loft apartment sleeps up to 4 guests and has a definite beach theme which is perfect as the house is just a short walk from the sea.



You’ll be able to tell from the moment you set foot inside that we are serious about presenting guests with an amazing stay in North Yorkshire. There will be a tablet waiting for you, featuring information about the local area and the apartment – so tap away!



The open plan living room, dining area and kitchen will almost certainly be the space in which you all spend the most time socialising together. It is furnished to the highest standard and it feels like home in no-time-at-all. Comfy sofa and armchair? Tick. Wall-mounted widescreen TV? Tick. Dining table with room for 4 to sit? That’s here too. The compact kitchen shares this space, with modern cooking and cleaning appliances so you can enjoy self-catering independence during your stay in North Yorkshire.



Both bedrooms feature large, comfy beds - one of which is a zip and link, so it can be arranged as two singles if that works better for you. There is storage space for your belongings in both bedrooms, so be sure to unpack your bags and really make yourselves at home.



The modern bathroom is complete with a bath and walk in shower. Unwind with a long, relaxing soak in the tub after a day of exploring the coast.



There’s another thing that’s worth mentioning and that’s the free parking! Grab a free space just outside the property or on the neighbouring streets – no permit required.



Please note the fireplace is for decorative purposes only and currently not in use.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.



The property is located on the 4th floor and accessed via a communal staircase. Please note there is no lift in the building so guests will need to climb several sets of stairs to reach The Surfer's Loft Apartment.

The Neighborhood:

The Surfer's Loft is located in the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.



Located in the heart of the town, the apartment is only a short walk from the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.



Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and the lovely Saltburn is featured. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful!



Getting Around:

The Surfer's Loft is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.



Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.



There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.
