A few Suggestions...
The house is cozy. We enjoyed our time in Bountiful, UT, but I have a request/suggestion. 1) Please stock adequate cookware. We use VRBO, because we like to save money by cooking at the house.

Visiting Grandchildren
The house has easy access with no steps and a bonus is you are not sharing or having people above. Not luxurious but everything you need for a stay, Comfortable beds, large dining area, all cooking facilities and a lounge with a large TV. It's close to the main routes with lots of eateries fairly close by. (10/12 minute walk)

Good place for the family
This place is really set up for visiting with a family -- and was good for us. Big plus -- no basement and few steps for older people to navigate. The appliances are all new and the kitchen was really set for us to cook a Thanksgiving dinner for my daughter and her family -- she just had a baby. Thanks for sharing with us Sam!

Don’t stay here
We almost didn’t stay the second night. The neighborhood is scary. The yard is not well maintained . When it says nice yard, not true. The worst is the smell it had a terrible musty ,smell, old smoke smell. I bought several air fresheners but could still smell it. Needs paint. 1 dish towel. No cups. Dirty windows and the blinds were disgusting. The furniture was old used second hand, the fireplace does not work. The flooring throughout the house is broken and chipped. We didn’t dare eat in the house. There was animal hair in the master closet. It was a good thing we were gone a lot. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I am sorry about the yard. We had a drought and it was against the law to water. I didn't notice a smell after your stay. There are over a dozen cups in the kitchen. I wish you would have contacted me about some of your questions and concerns so that I would have a chance to remedy them. Simply asking me where the cups are is easy. I admit sometimes there are imperfections. But that is why I ask my guests to contact me with and questions or concerns. You never contacted me about any. A word to you and anyone reading this review. I provide a full house 3bed, 2bath, kitchen, dinning, and den for $99 a night. You are not going to get the Grand America at these prices. But you will get a nice, clean comfortable home. I lived there myself for 14 years, its a great neighborhood. Its a fun old home, but its not perfect.

Very deceptive! We chose to leave.
Very disappointed in our stay. Very deceptive marketing, fish eye lens and photos that made it look like a grass yard. It’s just weeds. Some passive aggressive communication from the owner. It was very dirty, and he offered to send his housekeeper over the next day to clean. However we had to clean out the fridge and a lot of the kitchen and the counters before we could even unload. It was evening and the grandkids were tired and hungry. After I told him this he had a defensive tone, saying that “the TV was working last time I was there”. He asked if there was anything he could do to make our stay more comfortable, after denying the real problems. The locks on back door and windows were a stick in the runner. No lock. The linens appeared to be clean and everything looked tidy in the bedrooms. But vents were disgusting and filled with debris and blew up dirt. The final straw was when my daughter was napping with her babies and a piece of ceiling fell on her. But really it was a pie crust of cardboard taped on the ceiling to cover a hole. At that point we reserved and paid for a new property and left. Very expensive trip since he refused a refund for nights not stayed. Disposal and dishwasher not functioning either. Hair in tubs. Overall not fit for rental at all! And I never spoke to him. It was all through the app. Felt suspicious, any issue I’ve ever had before I was given a phone number to call. Seemed underhanded, and again, deceptive.

I'm very sorry for your experience. But you wanted a refund on your booking the day of check in because your plans changed. You came up with a list of complaints. I sent over my cleaning lady and maintenance manager to resolve your concerns, you would not let them in to resolve your concerns. I don't understand why you would not let my maintenance manager and cleaner in to resolve your concerns. That's suspicious and leads me to believe that there weren't any real issues. You would not let me remedy your concerns, you provided not proof of your concerns, home looked fine when I went over later. All of the appliances worked fine after your stay. I provide a nice comfortable home at an affordable price. Most all of my guests enjoy their stay. I would recommend you pay more money for a higher end place.

Family Reunion
The house is nice size for our group ( 4 adults). We had some family over after the reunion (14 of us all together) to play board games and we fit well. The inside is surprisingly quiet being as close to the freeway as it is.

This home was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable and clean. The location is excellent for Lagoon. There are plenty of stores and restaurants very close by. The neighborhood was quiet. Clean affordable reasonably close to ski resorts. Limited silverware. Only enough for 1 meal and knives dull. No glasses had to buy glasses which we left. Owner responded quickly to any concerns

Nice House/Yard
The cleaning crew did not finish their work until 45 minutes after our allowed check in time, although the cleaner stated to me that it would only be 15 minutes. The toilet next to the Master bedroom continually ran all night. (The inside parts need replacing. Owner was informed). Otherwise, a very nice place to stay. Great big back yard too.

Family visit
The property suited our needs. Very comfortable with all you need. Beds ,bedding great and plenty towels. Some of the items could be updated - the pans for instance. Also a chopping board would be useful. We had to borrow a connection for the tv as we couldn’t get any decent programmes. We had the wrong entry code which wasn’t great after a long drive from Vegas!

We change the entry code often for safety reasons. But we were prompt with the new new code. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Thank you for the feed back. We have a new set of pans and chopping board in the home. Some times our previous guests will move thing with the TV and our cleaning crew can't fix that. But we have entertainment system/TV in order. Thank you for your stay and feedback.

Family Vacation
Great house and location, the beds are very firm, plenty of room for everyone. We had 3 adults and 3 kids in our party. We had lots of fun, the rec center was close by and the kids couldn't get enough of it. Walmart and restaurants were also close by which made things very easy to get everything we needed during our stay. As well as keeping it affordable and fun for all of us.

When checking in door code was changed from what I was given prior, didn't bother to inform so had to e-mail. Very prompt reply about only good thing to happen. Windows so dirty could not see out very musty smell. Interstate runs right behind house VERY loud, and I get it your on vacation TV is not priority but nice to watch in evening. Passing traffic interferes with antenna signal so TV cuts out every 20 seconds to min. and again it is right on Interstate so just forget TV. Disappointing.

Great Stay for family with a Dog.

Not what I expected - layout, location & aesthetics
Our trip started off rough, we arrived just after a major storm in SLC/Bountiful area. Power was out in many parts of the town and it was dark. The initial Google Maps link we were sent in the welcome email took us to the wrong part of 400 W and we went back and forth twice before finding the correct house using Waze to guide. The VRBO listing did not have the owners contact phone number so we had to rely on messages alone; which did not get responded to until the next day. When we first arrived there were no exterior lights on at the house and the neighborhood itself is dimly lit so that made things challenging to see the house number. Also, the listing only has one outside photo of the house (for good reason I guess since its so poorly maintained). All I can say is that the next day I was not impressed with the location of the home. It's in a very old, grungy neighborhood with neighbors that have junk piles in their yards. The backyard of the home is in rough shape. It has junk piled up in the side yard, a creepy shed in the back of the lot and a furnace closet missing the door and the furnace exhaust is not fully intact (fire hazard). Also, no exterior lights whatsoever or a locking door to the rear of the house (unless you count the PVC pipe in the track). Inside the house I am reminded of a modular doublewide trailer. The floors creak, the floor vents are broken/cracked and the levels go up and down from the modular add-ons that were done. The master bathroom was re-done I'd say a few years ago and is the nicest part of the place. It reminds me of the saying lipstick on a pig. I just wasn't impressed with this place and it was not what I was expecting based on the fish-eye lens photos from the listing. They are very deceiving. Also, the furniture in the living room is in worse shape than the couches I had in my college dorm... I won't be staying here again.

Christmas in Utah
The vrbo was a quaint place for our family to stay while celebrating the holidays with our son in Farmington. Location was a short drive from his house and there was shopping and food close by. Grateful we could bring our dog. The outside of the house doesn't reflect the inside which is clean and updated. Back yard is a little junky looking but perfect for a pet to run around. We had a great time skiing, shopping and spending time with family. The house was nice!

Great base for visiting Lagoon for our family!
Property was very clean, beds were extremely comfortable. There was plenty of extra bedding, toilet paper, supplies, dishes, towels, etc. Living room, master bedroom and kitchen/dining areas were spacious and contemporary in their decoration, with cool artwork hung on the walls. Getting on and off the interstate was simple and it was only 5 minutes to Lagoon, so we were able to zip back to rest in the afternoons, and make it back in time to ride the ferris wheel at sunset. Overall I would recommend this property and we would be happy to stay here again!

The listing does NOT have a pool, but the owner said he'd remove it. Other than poor water pressure and quality... my stay was enjoyable and reasonably priced. I would stay again. There is a swim center with water slide, ice skating rink, rock wall and fitness center just a few blocks away and a day pass is only $6! Great stay for families!

The trip was great and the location good. Communications with the property manager was not so good. I emailed the property manager to request a change in our schedule from 3 nights to 2 nights. I did this approximately thirty days from day of check in. I did not receive a response from the manage so I emailed the owner. The owner was real nice and said to make my request through homeaway. By this time my opportunity to changed our schedule had closed and we ended up paying for a day we didn't use.

I booked the house for business trainings with other business associates. The home was comfortable, open, updated bathrooms were nice! Extra towels! Extra Bedding, Extra TP! (Most important!!!!) the host replied within 6 minutes to every inquiry. Rockstar!

Nice Place, Good Price
The place was just right for the Wife and I with our 3 teenage kids. Sure the place has a few years of experience under its belt, but overall was very happy with the accommodations. Had 1 minor hiccup with check-in and the owner was very responsive and we were squared away in no time at all. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great home in Salt Lake City
Perfect home for family of 4. Convenient location to all the local ski resorts. Great amenities (fully stocked kitchen, laundry, shampoo, conditioner, towels, linens, coffee, etc.) We would definitely return to this home on our next trip to SLC.

Comfortable and Convenient
We rented the property to be close to visiting family and friends over the holidays. We also wanted to entertain family, cook meals and have a nice atmosphere for the Christmas Holiday. Although the property was not in the best neighborhood, it was convenient for getting to shopping and interstate. The home was clean and there was plenty of space for our family of four. With a few exceptions we had everything we needed. Here are a few suggestions: 1) A big reason we selected the property was the fireplace for holiday celebration. It was not working and we suspected it had not been for a long time. If there is no plan to have it available it should be noted in the amenities. 2) The mattresses in the two queen bedrooms were cheap and uncomfortable. 3) There were not quite enough cooking accessories for preparing holiday meals. There was only 1 large mixing bowl (we contributed 2 more). We also purchased a potato masher and whisk for mixing (no beater). 4) Not enough silverware for feeding beyond 5 people. 5) The internet that was provided was very low bandwidth. We were constantly kicked off Apple TV and our 4 mobile devices or they were very slow to respond. 6) Although there is a Dish satellite receiver on the roof, there is no such connection inside. There was a HD antenna available but not hooked up. We managed to get it working by connecting it and programming the TV, which gave us access to an important football game. 7) I suggest the trash can be as empty as possible for the move in. We overfilled it from or stay but it was half full when we got there on Friday, the day after trash day. All in all we were mostly satisfied and recommend the property for a comfortable, affordable place to stay. It was much better than a hotel room could have been for what we wanted to do. Thanks!

Perfect for our family!
I love how this house is set up - separate areas for parents and kids, plus laundry facilities and wonderful communal areas. Very close to the interstate and grocery/ necessity shopping but no noise problems at all. This was our second stay and we will likely be back soon!

Great location. Very nice house.
The house is only 15 minutes from Salt Lake City Airport and the city. Very convenient. The house itself is very nice. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. I would rent again if I head back to SLC.
