Visit the nearby town of Cherbourg with the fascinating Cite de la Mer and the famous artificial roadstead. To the south, the historic landing beaches of Sainte-Mere-Eglise and Utah Beach await you. Valognes, the Versailles of Cotentin, is just a few kilometres away. A pleasant drive away, you can cross over to the Channel Islands from Barneville-Carteret. Explore Granville and the majestic Mont-Saint-Michel or travel on to Brittany. The picturesque harbour of Barfleur and the lighthouse of Gatteville are also worth a visit.
