La Garenne is a beautiful fortified farmhouse dating from the 16th century, nestled among vineyards and sunflower fields in a tranquil hamlet in Charente-Maritime, western France. It is the perfect escape for those seeking peace, relaxation, and the authentic charm of the French countryside.



The Aulnay Forest is just a short walk or cycle away, and the surrounding countryside offers miles of scenic trails and tracks to explore. The nearby town of Aulnay-de-Saintonge, only 8 minutes by car, has everything you need, including a supermarket, weekly market, bakery, and traditional bistro. The historic town of Saint-Jean-d’Angély is just a 20-minute drive away, offering a wider selection of shops, restaurants, and attractions.



La Maison Blanche is a single-level cottage. From your private terrace, you enter a bright, spacious room with exposed beams. The kitchen sits at one end, while the dining and living areas are at the other. From the living room, you access the main bedroom with an open ceiling. The second bedroom, with bunk beds, is on the opposite side, along with a family bathroom equipped with a modern bathtub and walk-in shower.



Your private terrace overlooks the garden and comes with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Children can enjoy the secure, enclosed garden with a play area and many activities, as well as two pools. One pool is shallow and specially designed for younger children.
