Where do I start? All comms received prior to check in were in German. We can understand using French as we were going to France, not going to Germany, and my German is non existent. We were able to use Google translate for some emails, but the pdf info docs were unreadable for us. Check in was a nightmare as we were checking in on a Saturday and the office wasn't open. We managed to translate that we had to travel into St Malo town and enter a code into a safe for the key. The code didn't work, luckily another person was able to open it for us. When we arrived at our accommodation we found we weren't allowed to park outside, unlike what was shown on the photos. So we had to park in a basement which had a strong smell of fuel, and walk backwards and forwards with our cases etc, not practical at all. We eventually managed to work out and find our apartment (no lift). Overall the actual apartment was ok, but the balcony area definitely needs work. Lots of cobwebs, paint peeling on the ceiling and stained chairs. We also discovered we were staying in a residential block which was a surprise to us. So no holiday feeling, just local residents doing their washing, gardening and some noisy dogs. Husband liked that we were near the countryside for cycle rides, but that was the only positive. Overall we wouldn't recommend at all. Avoid.
