"Took a long weekend exploring Temiskaming Shores and decided on this waterfront motel in Haileybury, which is right in the middle and on Lake Temiskaming. A picturesque little town; the services are all in New Liskeard to the north, but only a scenic ten-minute drive up the shore. While the rooms are small, they have been renovated and have what you need in them. The big bonus was the owners' takeaway Indian menu you could order, which was some of the best Indian food we've had in Northern...

"It’s a motel next to a lake with the focus on the road weary traveller. One plug for a faux electric fireplace, TV and fan. It was chilly last night but I couldn’t figure out how to fire up the fireplace? I felt safe though and though the place is dated 1960 something it was clean and I slept well. "

"My partner and I stayed here for five nights over the Christmas holiday. In addition to being clean, safe, and private, the staff were extremely hospitable and professional. While my husband was working, I enjoyed the on-site spa services and delicious dining menu at the Clau Clau bistro. I would recommend La Bannik for those who are looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat that takes full advantage of the natural beauty of Lac Temiscaming. "

"Fantastic, everything...couple suggestions...hooks along the wall across from the foot of the bed in the bedroom to hang wet towels, clothes, etc. Also maybe a small shelf in the shower to place soaps, etc. Our family was in the next cabin, may we suggest a curtain(not sheer) or blind in the bathroom, standing at the fire pit in between cabins you can see right into that bathroom...yikes...luckily it was family noticed and not strangers. Other than that, absolutely fantastic! The view...

"Luc and Louise were such wonderful, helpful hosts. The Crooked House had everything thoughtfully considered for the comfort of the guests - from the welcome package in the fridge to just how well equipped the property was. That it was so close to the beach and the water slide was such a plus for my kid. We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful town, mostly because of our comfortable stay and hope to return!"

"This apartment is in a really bad area of town. The apartment itself is okay, nothing special there is no air conditioning so you need to open all the windows. The 3 windows in the front of the apartment were broken with the screens cut out. Therefore in order to have the apartment not be grossly hot we would have to prop the windows open and have the bugs come in. The back windows do not have curtains so anyone could creep in at night. We were not happy with the broken windows and contacted the...
