"De gastvrouw is heel hartelijk! Als attentie kregen we groenten uit de tuin en zelfgemaakte confituur en taart.Het vakantiehuis was voor ons ideaal gelegen. We kregen ook de nodige tips om uitstapjes te maken in de omgeving."

"Ich habe in Frankreich schon viele Gîtes kennengelernt, dieses jedoch hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Die alte Bausubstanz ist sehr schön erhalten und mit modernem Komfort ergänzt. Ein riesiges Wohnzimmer, ein gut funktionierender Kamin, bequeme Betten, viel Platz, ein Swimmingpool und das schöne Schloss, ein gutes Restaurant und eine gemütliche Kneipe. Der Schlossherr spricht fließend Englisch und ist bei allen Fragen behilflich. Was mich dazu bewogen hat, trotz meiner wirklich großen...

"A beautiful property situated in a quiet rural area. We were met by Marc and Pascale on arrival who answered questions and gave advice. Facilities within the gite were perfect for our needs as a family of nine."

"What can we say but, wow! We spent two weeks in this beautiful gite and it’s the best we’ve ever stayed in. Peaceful location just 15 mins to La Rochefoucauld with a huge Leclerc supermarket or Montbron with an Aldi and Intermarche. Plenty of local shops and markets to indulge in too.Bigger towns like Angouleme and Limoges are less than an hour away, so plenty to see and do. But if you just want to relax, the private heated pool (I didn’t measure it but must be 5m x 12m and 1.6 at the deep end...

"Au calme , randonnées à la porte du gîte . Livre de visites aux alentours. Petite maison mais avec tout le nécessaire et même plus .Que du bonheur ."

"Week-end très agréable. Hôtes discrets mais disponible si besoin. Très sympathiques. Barrière un peu par rapport à la langue mais on s'adapte avec traducteur sur téléphone. A refaire car endroit très calme."

"One of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. I would like to thank both Mario and Ilse for being wonderful hosts, we received such a warm welcome and were afforded absolute privacy throughout our stay even though they were always on hand if anything was needed.The cottage is beautiful and so well equipped its a real home from home, with a full size larder fridge and an under the counter freezer there is plenty of room for you to stock up on groceries and forget that the world outside...

"Really lovely gite, lots of space inside and out. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Ruth & Adrian were great hosts, there if needed but never intrusive. Bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival was much appreciated too. Lots to do in the local area. We had a fabulous two week stay. Beautiful hand made baskets to purchase as a souvenir too. "

"It was lovely! Karyn is a friendly host and the house is cozy and spacious. But the real highlights are outside. A lovely pool surrounded by beautiful plants and a large garden to walk, play or just sit in."

"Communication difficile avec les propriétaires (même en Anglais) literie très confortable, chauffage un peu limite vu la taille des pièces, pas de baby foot, très beau parc, accès restaurant limité à 2 soirs par semaine, non précisé sur offre, fuite sur la machine à laver, pas d'aspirateur, il a fallu demander un balai. Location convenable sûrement encore plus agréable en été. Très bien pour l'espace pour les enfants."

"Second time staying at Nadia's property. It's a lovely old property that stays comfortable and cool in the hot summer months. Plenty of space for a large family to stay. Both times we have stayed the house has been very clean and the beds already made.10 minutes to the lake for a swim or a walk and a great night market on Monday nights during the summer.Disappointed to see the local bar has closed but it's up for sale so hopefully someone will bring it back to life!This is one of our favourite...

"Great communication throughout. House absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of storage for husbands fishing tackle. Has everything you need plus more if you have younger children. Didn't get to use the pool unfortunately due to bad weather. ☹️ View from gbreathtaking. "
