"This is a lovely property in the heart of Stillwater. The reason we will not return is that the street noise from “hot rodding” motorcycles , trucks and cars cruising the main drag starts in early evening and continues into early morning hours. (We know this after 5 years of annual stays ). The noise is worst in the highest priced rooms that face the street. Dining on the patio in front of the hotel requires one to shout to be heard by others at your table😳. Not worth it."

"My mother and I were super excited to spend a weekend away for mother's Day in Stillwater. Especially at this hotel that was close to downtown , the river and had a rooftop bar and restaurant. However, the restaurant was not open or serving food on the rooftop and the bar was open, though the bartender didn't know how to make simple drinks. My mother ordered a bloody Mary and it was horrible! Just tasted like tomato juice and celery salt. No olives, cheese, celery or a beef stick to go with it....

Food at the grill with Starbucks in the lobby was great but especially expensive. Staff were wonderful. Access to area dining, shopping and entertainment was excellent. Would stay there again."

"We booked based on reviews and realized THAT was a mistake. First & foremost-the staff was very nice, as all Minnesotans are. That was the good; now the realistic.The property is OLD and rundown. The carpeting is worn and dirty and I don't really want to think about the dirt in there ( bring slippers or socks to wear and burn them directly after the visit). From the outside this appears like any other highway motel with no-frills architecture and a good view of the interstate. "This hotel saved us from a god awful hotel we had booked prior. Staff was great, I booked it and within 20 minutes was in the lobby and they were ready for us and it was seamless. Staff was friendly, maid service was excellent. We even accidentally left some items out that should have been in the safe, but our room was cleaned up and nothing was taken. It was also very quiet. Beds were comfortable. Shower water pressure was amazing. We were very happy with our stay."
