This was supposed to be a family outing with seven guests celebrating our daughter's graduation from UT Austin on Friday, May 20th - it ended up with only three of us, but we had a great, if not too short, vacation. The house was just as nice as it was two years ago when we stayed there. It was clean and well-prepared for our arrival, and we tried to leave it as clean as when we arrived. We took advantage of the extra cost of linen service - one more thing that we didn't have to pack, and we would probably do that again. We enjoyed the pool and patio in the afternoons and evenings. I don't think the house had Wi-Fi two years ago, but we definitely appreciated having it this time. We did have two unwelcome guests, however! A scorpion showed up in my box of coffee packages on our first morning, and a raccoon raided the trash receptacle out front, also on morning number one! We learned our lesson on when to put out the trash, and we started shaking our shoes and watching where we stepped after the scorpion scare! No other scorpion showed its face or stinger during our three-night stay! We have stayed in other FRVR rentals, but the Texas Kind Of Way home was perfect for our group size and our budget.
