"The lobby was really nice and clean. So was the surrounding areas around the complex. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to enter the room cca 30 min before the official check in time with no fuss about it from the staff. Room was reasonable equipped - hangers, little ironing device and proper board too. Also a Holly Bible was there, which I even as a none believer, found really nice. We were staying over night as have attended the wedding at this place and I can say that...

"Generally, had a lovely family break at this hotel. lovely and helpful staff, good variety of breakfast choices. No matter who you spoke too, night staff, day staff, staff at the fitness/spa centre, they were all very courteous and paid attention to our needs/queries and met them On discovering our room's air-condition was not working in the 1st night, they were apologetic and quickly got us fans that night as it past midnight and swapped our rooms early the next day. "This is a gorgeous inn in a picture-perfect English village! The only issues I have is that the room for 3 people is quite inadequate in size and furnishings. A couple of hooks to hang clothes, a footstool as the only seating, no drawers and only one folding luggage rack, meaning we had to live out of suitcases on the limited floorspace. The restaurant was fabulous even though it had a very limited and expensive menu, and other options were in nearby towns. We would go back in a heartbeat if...

"Loved the courtyard especially at night. Didn't like the bar closed even though there were residents still wanting a drink! Also the cooked breakfast wasn't great."

Two double bedrooms, very spacious and nice and quiet. Be aware that the rooms are in an apartment style building (bit like Butlins) across the car park. "We like the Sparrow because of its location - near junction of A46 and M6 and it’s quite comfortable as well. We didn’t try the food on this occasion."

This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area.
