Ranch sliders connect the sunroom to the private treelined outdoor living area with large umbrella available.

Opening out to the back outdoor living and dining area, this is the ideal summer space to relax together. The kids can play on the large flat lawn, and you can feel at ease knowing it is fully fenced while you enjoy a cold drink under the sun. Better still, get the BBQ fired up for dinner! The alternate outdoor area at the front of the house has a covered patio and BBQ, providing the perfect spot for when you want to get out of the sun or wind.

With bathrooms and two bedrooms at either end of the house, it’s perfect for two families. Tidy and inviting throughout, Ruakaka Holiday Escape offers your family or friends a slice of Kiwiana and a space to feel right at home. Hitch up the boat and travel less than two hours north from Auckland. Boat launching for small boats and jetskis is not far away on Princes Rd, while larger boats can be launched at Marsden Cove Marina, just an 11-minute drive away.

Kick back and relax for a cruisy Kiwi summer, or carry the two provided kayaks across the road and launch them at the river. Locals recommend it’s best two hours either side of high tide! You’re just a short walk to the Ruakaka Campground, superette, The Bach Cafe, and a park with a basketball hoop.

A short drive takes you to the Ruakaka shopping centre, offering a supermarket and medical centre, or to Waipu village for restaurants, cafes, and market days. Whangarei is only 30 minutes away, with shops, cafes, and tourist attractions, including the Hundertwasser Art Centre.

The two single beds in bedroom two and two king single beds in bedroom four can be joined together to make a king/super-king bed. Please inform us of which bedding configuration you require well in advance so we can ensure the appropriate linen is available.There are life-jackets available to use with the two kayak, but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure safety.Please note that this property allows a maximum of one well-trained dog. We also kindly ask that dogs are not left unattended at the property at any time.Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year.
