"We missed the turning as postcode didnt take us to the Bothie direct, but as soon as we saw the Laggan Lock sign right by the bus stop we never missed it. The place was easy to get the keys with the key code. The room its self was not like you see in the photos, which looks all cute and colourful.... and also not much room. "We loved our week at Shepherds rest! Ilona was lovely and answered questions quickly and was so good to check in periodically. The house was clean and comfortable. The scariest part of the stay was driving through the tunnel when coming and going but we were driving a 9 passenger van so a small car would have no problems at all. There are beautiful walks right outside the door and it was peaceful and quiet. Lovely place to stay!"

"Property was great for our group of 7. The town was perfect for a morning stroll. FYI, read all of your emails from Expedia. We arrived late and had a small amount of trouble checking in. I had received an email with all the late check in instructions. I didn’t read it because I thought it was just more Expedia junk. All my bad. Once we got in the stay was perfect. "

Karl, a low key, but attentive host, welcomed us with quick instructions on how to use some of the appliances, etc. The furnishings, cookware, dishes, and utensils were the best I have ever seen in a rental property—6 cutting boards!
