"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"Absolutely stunning property for those who like a bit of history. Host was so accommodating to our needs. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt so relaxed making the most of the roll top bath. Breakfast was top drawer (loved the sausages especially). Nothing to fault. We’re already booked in for next year!"

"Awful stay. Had read great reviews about cleanliness and what a pleasant stay. The place isn’t clean the access is complicated and changes continuously. I had to change rooms daily meaning I had to pack my case every morning. One night I was told I had to sleep on the sofa and I wasn’t even provided with a cover. Ended up having to book a hotel last minute just to get some sleep. I highly recommend you avoid this place. "

"The owner collected us from the airport bus station, £15 for the 3 of us. Our room was adequate with 3 beds however the shower room was very good. Looked like it was recently refurbished. One issue was the shower head was loose. The room temperature was decent and the beds clean and comfortable though new pillows are needed as they are pretty thin. Also the scatter cushion covers need a wash. The location is great for Gatwick Airport and a reasonable price. "

"There was quite a lot of noise from the restaurant below us and the garden, also heard staff at 0630 outside. Internet was not good enough for a video meeting so had to leave early. Bathroom was tiny. Okay but wouldn’t stay again. "
