"The classic room we booked was very tired and dated. The walls, especially around switchesX were marked, worn and grubby. The bathroom was especially bad, dusty, mouldy and generally needs a refurb - I felt dirty using it! The decoration, fixtures and fittings were extremely dated. The carpets were marked and stained. The hallway was like a labyrinth, and creaked loudly as other guests walked down it past the room. The outlook was a rear court yard, very minimal natural light in the room. The...

"The staff was amazing. When we got there and our room wasn’t set up as a twin for my adult daughter and I they swiftly offered us both our own rooms using an unbooked room - we don’t even have to ask. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Thanks!"

"Excellent friendly staff very clean hotel though out the only thing that could have been better was the lunch and dinner menu not much choices also I noticed pool quite cold for me and shower and bath water was just warm not hot and I like a hot bath not a warm bath. "

"On arrival at Bell Cottage we were met by occupants who directed us around the corner to the owner's house. The owner was not in but able to communicate via the Ring doorbell. We were greeted warmly and told where to collect the keys to a different property with en-suite and a shared kitchen, situated to the the left of the owner's house. So a bit of confusion to start with, but the attic room we occupied was lovely, cosy, comfy and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay. "

"The room was ideal for what I needed and was a lot warmer than first looked, with it being in the outbuildings I thought it would be freezing but it was sound. The breakfast was decent enough and overall the stay represented excellent value for money. It’s probably a lot more lively in the summer as the pub/restaurant was empty the night I was there which felt a bit strange. I would stay again if in the area with work."

"Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the full breakfast but had to wait 15 minutes one morning to be attended. Otherwise hotel staff were friendly and attentive. Ample parking on both sides of the hotel. There is a Starbucks right outside the hotel. "
