Delightful bite in a great location
My husband and I spent a relaxing week in Mark and Sylvia’s lovely gite. It was just as the photos and description portrayed and equipped with everything needed to make it feel like a home from home! Mark and Slyvie were exceptional hosts, very accessible but not intrusive, and full of information about local events and places to visit. We cannot recommend their gite highly enough.

Sue and Chris
Sylvie and Mark were welcoming and provided us with much local information. The property was mostly to our expectations. The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and not suitable for everyone especially as there is no upstairs toilet. Also the nearby road which looks like a lane in the photographs is quite busy and noisy at times. However we did enjoy our stay

Excellent séjour
Super séjour aux environ de perigueux. Très beau village à 25/30 minutes de perigueux. La maison est superbe et très spacieuse. Aménagée avec goût et surtout, efficacité. Pas de chichi et de surplu. Le nécessaire juste top ! Je recommande vraiment ce logement et j y retournerais avec plaisir. Les hôtes sont très gentils et très accessibles aussi. Je conseil et recommande. Merci pour ce beau séjour.

Endroit et accueil parfait
Un excellent moment de cette location. Un accueil souriant et bienveillant, une location d'une propreté exemplaire, une literie un tres bon état, des draps qui sentent bons la lessive, des petites choses laissées pour notre arrivée (lessive, gel lavant, café, sucre) et qui sont très utiles. Une vue magnifique avec panorama au top. Merci à vous Sylvie pour cet accueil sympathique et vos crêpes excellentes.

A lovely stay in Rouffanac
This is a great place to stay whilst visiting the area. Sylvie and Mark are great hosts and ensure that your stay is comfortable. The views from the property are amazing and the veranda is a great place to sit in the evenings with a glass of wine. Sylvie went out of her way to ensure that my dog’s special food was delivered ahead of our holiday …. You can’t ask more from a host. We will definitely be returning😊

De locatie was zeer rustig en fijn om te verblijven. Misschien is het wel aangeraden om airco te voorzien altans toch zeker boven. Anders hadden we een fijn verblijf

Maison et terrasse impeccable, tout comme décrit. Accueil chaleureux, formalités réduites au minimum du minimum. La proximité d'une route à circulation modérée n'a pas gêné. Un petit espace vert aurait été apprécié par temps de très grande chaleur (mais il n'était pas promis non plus, et il y a une petite piscine, et la maison aux murs épais reste fraîche, donc c'est parfaitement OK).

Comme le dit le titre, nous avons passé un séjour agréable et ensoleillé, on est bien tombé surtout pour un mois de février... Les enfants ont aimé les excursions et nous aussi... le gîte est très agréable et spacieux, nous avons apprécié son poêle à bois... et en plus c'était tout près des commerces ! Bref, on est ravie de ce séjour...

Wunderschöne Terrasse mit herrlichem Ausblick
Perfekte Unterkunft am Rande eines netten Dörfchens. Guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Perfekte Einrichtung, sehr sauber. Hinweis: Die Treppe zu den Schlafzimmern im ersten Stock ist relativ steil.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour au calme dans cette grande maison. La vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique et reposante. Le village est sympathique et nous y avons trouvé toutes les commodités nécessaires. Sylvie et Marc sont très accueillant et sympathique.

Le gîte est très joli,bien aménagé,très bien équipé . Sa situation géographique est parfaite pour les excursions telle que Lascaux4.la vue est imprenable depuis la terrasse (surtout à l automne).les propriétaires sont charmants.Le rapport qualité/prix est parfaitement correct

Great stay
We had a great time at Sylvie and Mark’s well designed, clean gite. We really enjoyed the spacious terrace. The home cooked meal provided, for a very decent price, by Sylvie is definitely recommended. There is a lot to explore in the area, local markets, the Vésère and Dordogne river and the overall surroundings. Hope to come back some day! Regards, Quirine, Ties and Jasper

Excellent holiday
An excellent location with everything and more close by. The accommodation was even better than we could have imagined and the views were superb. Sylvie and Mark made us feel very welcome , providing us with information on the local area. Would highly recommend one of Sylvies home cooked meals , it was delicious. All in all a 5 star holiday 😊

Father and Son get away :-)
Great stay - lovely gite, has everything you'd expect and more besides. Especially like the wood burner and the ample supply of logs. Very clean, well equipped can't fault it. Lovely hosts - there if needed but not intrusive. Thanks again - hope to be back again soon. Andrew & Stuart

Fantastic cottage in lovely area :-)
Great find, well situated on the edge of a village - close enough to walk in but far enough to not know it's there. Cottage is very well equipped, has everything you need for a week away, not only has it got everything but it has the little extra's like salt and pepper - which doesn't sound a lot but makes a difference. Fixtures and fittings are all of a very high standard and can't say we wanted for anything or felt that anything was missing. As it was Oct/Nov there was an ample and much appreciated supply of logs for the wood burner - replenished daily. We arrived late on a Sunday night and we asked if a few groceries could be picked up for us - which they were - we really appreciated that - thank you! Overall a great find outside of our usual holiday area but we'll definitely be back - thank you Mark & Sylvie - you've got a lovely gite - we are very jealous! Andrew, Katie & Oscar

Totally amazing place with lovely hosts and everything was perfect
It is not ofen you book a holiday and when you arrive everything is exactly as you expected and more. The house is beautiful and in a great location. 5 minutues walk into the village. Mark and Sylvie made us very welcome and gave us advice and help about what to see and do in the area. We wanted to make full use of the house and the lovely terrace where we had all our meals. Take advantage of Sylvie's cooking as she offers delicious 2 course meals for only 15 euros each. We did twice and loved both meals. I can't recommend this place enough. We stayed for a week (25 August - 1 September 2018) and wanted to stay longer. Di & Joe

Wunderschönes Haus in wunderbarer Landschaft mit traumhaftem Blick und liebenswerten Gastgebern
Wir haben eine sportlich ambitionierte Rennradwoche mit Ausgangspunkt Rouffignac verbracht. Ein perfekter Startort für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen (auch für Lascaux und seine Höhlen). Das "Petite Maison" ist eine wunderbare Unterkunft für 2 oder auch 4 Personen. Alles entspricht genau den Angaben - die Einrichtung des Hauses ist sehr gut durchdacht, auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt, zudem modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Terasse mit ihrem wunderbaren Blick in die schöne Landschaft ist im Sommer sicherlich das schönste Wohnzimmer, das man sich vorstellen kann.Sylvie und Mark sind ausgesprochen sympathische, hilfsbereite, ansprechbare Gastgeber. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Light-filled, spacious, great view
Our favorite part was the huge terrace—great view of the valley, dining table, lounge chairs. Huge bathroom with rainforest shower and plenty of hot water. Kitchen and laundry appliances were brand-new. Hosts were very helpful in suggesting activities in the vicinity.

Lovely Easter Holiday!
Dear Sylvie, dear Marc, thank you so much for the two weeks we could spent at your gîte! We (family of five) enjoyed the stay at your beautifully renovated and clean vacation home very much. The location is just perfect for exploring the Dordogne and Vezère valley with all the castles and caves!

A charming modern Gite, in a breathtaking rural location.
Immaculately clean, finished to a high standard. Modern interior with a rustic charm. Located within walking distance of the local village which has all amenities you'd require for a stay here, the weeknight market is a must! Mark and Sylvie were an invaluable source of information when it came to wanting to know about local tourist spots. It is ideally located to explore the Dordogne area. They are exceptionally welcoming it was lovely to have met them. Ben & Leoni

Beautiful gite in stunning location
Aux Volets Bleus surpassed all of our expectations. The gite has been renovated with love & great care and is a truly special place. Everything you could possibly need has been provided, along with thoughtful extras. Sylvie and Mark are very welcoming hosts, providing local knowledge to help you make the most of your stay. St Leon and Les Eyzies are both worth a visit for a day by the river relaxing, swimming or canoeing. Our stay was simply too short and we will definitely be back.
