Whether you're here to stroll around, for a business meeting or to work remotely, you'll enjoy a warm and central atmosphere, close to the energy of Rouen.
Completely renovated in December 2025, Le Matisse is an elegant one-bedroom apartment with a chic and intimate style, where Norman charm is evident in the beautiful exposed beams. As soon as you enter, you will discover a cosy living room with an open kitchen, perfect for settling in and feeling at home right away. The lounge awaits you for moments of relaxation: a comfortable sofa bed (1 person), a TV for cosy evenings, and a table for 4, ideal for sharing a meal, working or planning your itinerary for the next day.
The fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook just like at home: hob, oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine and numerous utensils. Whether you're staying for one night or several days, everything has been designed to make your stay smooth and convenient.
At night, the bedroom offers a calm and restful retreat with a double bed (140x200), perfect for recovering after a day of exploring. There is plenty of storage space in the bedroom and throughout the flat, which is very useful for longer stays. The modern bathroom, adjoining the bedroom, has a shower, washbasin and hairdryer. The separate toilet includes a washer-dryer, a real bonus for longer stays. Ironing equipment is also available.
Bed linen and towels are provided for two people for your comfort. If you wish to use the sofa bed, there is an additional charge of €12 for towels. Simply ask us and we will provide them. There is no private parking space, but you will easily find parking on the street or in the Vieux Marché pay-and-display car park. The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 21:00. We kindly ask you to take care of the accommodation and respect the neighbourhood. A bank card imprint will be requested.

The Vieux-Marché district in Rouen is one of the most iconic and historic areas of the city, with its famous square, the Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc church and its covered market. The neighbourhood is bustling with numerous cafés, brasseries and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, from Norman specialities to international dishes. The terraces of these establishments offer pleasant views of the square and are ideal for relaxing.
The often colourful half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets give the neighbourhood a medieval feel. The historic houses and well-preserved buildings immerse visitors in the history of Rouen. It is worth noting that the Old Market Square regularly hosts cultural events, markets and festivals. This makes it a lively and dynamic place throughout the year.

1. Bus: Several bus lines pass near the Place du Vieux Marché. Lines such as the F2, F3, 6, and 7 can take you to various destinations in Rouen and the surrounding area.
2. Metro: The ‘Palais de Justice’ metro station is a few minutes' walk from Place du Vieux Marché. You can take the T1 or T2 line from this station to other parts of the city.
3. Tram: Although the tram does not pass directly through Place du Vieux Marché, you can easily walk to one of the nearest tram stations, such as ‘Palais de Justice’.

Please note that the building does not have a lift and the flat is located on the first floor. People with reduced mobility or those carrying large suitcases may encounter difficulties accessing the building.
Check-in is via the ArchiDuchesse concierge service from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and check-out must be completed by 11 a.m. at the latest.
The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.). In the apartment, all our guests receive household linen, essential items for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand gel, toilet paper, etc.) as well as one large towel per person, tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit with kitchen bin bags, bathroom bin bags, a sponge and washing-up liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.
We are committed to providing a pleasant experience, however, please note that we are not a hotel service. Mid-stay cleaning, linen/towel refreshment, replenishment of essential items, or delivery can be arranged on request at an additional cost. When you confirm your stay, you will receive the ArchiDuchesse tourist booklet, our tips with promotional codes from our selected partners, and the arrival instructions for your accommodation.

Please note that parties are strictly prohibited (€250 will be deducted from the deposit), the accommodation is entirely non-smoking (€50 will be deducted from the deposit), pets are not allowed (€50 will be deducted from the deposit) unless requested and agreed in advance by us, and any loss, theft or damage will be charged at the actual replacement value.
