Space to spare
Great amount of space, there are heaps of beds, they are small and simple but the ad states the sort of place it is so they're honest about it which is great. Perfect location, quiet, cozy Great communication from the host. thanks

Family get away
We had a large group stay. It was awesome with the different levels for the kids and teens and adults. Host was amazing, kind and so accommodating of our needs. Great being close to the lake.

Great value
Warm and welcoming hosts; unique, quaint property; lots of beds to sleep people; a beautiful lake to enjoy; close to Rotorua; a reasonable price - this really fit the bill for our family, attending a summer wedding. We really appreciated this rustic and affordable home way from home.

Cute, great location and great price
My kids called this the Harry Potter house as it's so quirky and cute. Property Manager was excellent. House sleeps heaps of people at a good rate, which helps out those who are on a budget. The fire kept us nice and warm. Heaps of room to sit together and eat dinner/play games. Well appointed kitchen. Two bathrooms. Close to redwoods. Walk to lake. Was super happy with this budget friendly bach. Thanks heaps

Stay there again
Just as you said, not a 5 star hotel but very homely and cosy. Everything was at our finger tips, ie. firewood, utilities, etc. I'm not one to climb stairs but the younger ones stayed above and me down on the ground floor. All up enjoyable stay, a pity we didn't have time to look around lake Okareka.

Accomodation needed for wedding stay
Room I slept in smelt a bit musty. Stairs were a bit of a mission had my elderly mother stay on the bottom floor with double bed to make it easier only for her to trip on the small lip going into this room and fell on the floor. Everything we needed was there for what we needed. Beautiful setting. We only needed beds for couple of nights for wedding so werent at the accomodation for a lot of our stay

Fantastic spot for family holiday
A fantastic large house for a 2 family holiday. House had everything you needed. Is in a great spot - close to the lake, not far to Rotorua. Would happily return.

Thanks for the review. Just wanted to check what you meant about smoke alarms. There is 1 on each level inside the house and one in sleepout?? They're all 10 year alarms. Be great to have further info on this. Thanks

Awesome getaway
What an amazing property, you feel like your miles from town but it's just down the road. So handy to the lakes and redwoods. Owner was very patient and amazing to deal with. Great price for what you get.

Great house for a large group. Heat pump and fire place was amazing on the cold winter mornings/evenings. Nice quiet area but still close to the city centre.

Family getaway
Property was accurate as per description, very quiet location, excellent location and easy access to private beach, air conditioning was lovely in the 26 - 30 degree temps. Close location to Rotorua and mountain biking tracks. No problems or worries with the kids riding bikes in this area. Communication with property owner was great too, thanks heaps Anne.

Great break and lovely location
Perfect place for families to stay. Plenty of room for all ages, from teenagers to young children. The garden is magical. And a hop, skip and jump to the lake. We loved it. And hope to be back soon

Needs alot of cleaning
You need to check out the furniture found rubbish between chairs pot cupboard needs to be cleaned we tried to clean up needs to be well cleaned before you get new people in there cleaners need to do a better job we understand its not a 5 star but it could be cleaned out we have cleaner then we found it in saying all that thank you for allowing us to bring our pet down.

Great spot. Perfect accomodation for two families. Love the bush setting
We all had a great time at the chalet. Plenty of space for the kids to play and house the boat and JetSki.
