Could do better
Communication was good prior to arrival. Details shared appropriately a week before arrival. Check in was straightforward. Picked keys up from a key safe away from the property. Property just a short distance away. No human contact. On checking the property on arrival we noted damage to several items within the property. As we had paid a deposit and no one had made us aware of any damage I made the management company aware that evening. The downstairs shower head was held onto the wall by a piece of cord/ string. It leaked when it was turned on. Not safe at all, therefore unusable. Towel rails were also missing. The Kitchen kick boards are in a very poor condition, wheels missing from the TV Stand and bed linen was torn. in General the property could seriously do with a coat of paint. The Property manager got back to me quickly asking for photos, I took, in order to send a maintenance person around. I felt this request was unnecessary as I had detailed the issues and told them so. Was annoyed I wasn’t made aware of the damage prior to getting the keys. Two emails then nothing, and no maintenance person showed up. The kitchen is stocked ok, but we had to wash glasses and other kitchen equipment prior to using as it was clear that they had not been washed. We also moved furniture in the living areas and bedrooms in order to clean and dust behind them. I’ve stayed in a lot of rental properties and do expect some degree of wear, but here a lot of furniture is needing replaced.
