Cabin with a pool, hot tub and wi-fi located close to Natural Bridge State Park

This cabin is NOT PET FEIENDLY. It has its own private in ground swimming pool during the summer and a hot tub year-round. For 2025the pool will be open starting May 1st. The Southern Farmhouse will bring back memories of going to Grandma's. The large kitchen, woodburning fireplace and cozy upstairs bedrooms. Come prepared to stay a few days and get reacquainted with family or friends. Cabin also has dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is a king bed and bunk beds in one bedroom and a queen bed and a full bed and a single sleeper sofa in the other bedroom. It will sleep 9 people. The pool opens Memorial Day weather permitting and closes by September 15th. Wi-Fi is available. NOT PET FRIENDLY
PLEASE NOTE THAT CHECK IN IS AT OUR OFFICE AND DIRECTIONS WILL BE SENT WITH YOUR CONFIRMATION.

  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Nice house but lots of wasps

Very nice house. Had to kill 11 wasps over two days which flew high up in the 20 ft ceiling. Spraying wasp killer all over the bedrooms was not ideal but had no choice since we had kids with us. Property manager wasn’t surprised by the call, said it was unavoidable in the Spring, and left it to us to deal with it. Stay there knowing that. They were otherwise very nice.

Over all the stay was great… a few things though I noticed a few spots that could have been cleaned better.. and was rather disappointed to find the charcoal grill with no charcoal, I think the listing should have said it was a charcoal grill so I knew to bring charcoal. Luckily we had a camping grill with us that we could use and the grill was not cleaned out by the last person or the host it was plumb full of ash..

Southern Farmhouse Vacation

My family had a wonderful stay at the Southern Farmhouse. We spent our days hiking and it was a wonderful treat to come back to this cabin and enjoy the pool and hot tub. Yes, we would stay here again. Leslie was wonderful to deal with at check-in and Mark was easy to deal with too as he came by to check on the pool Thanks for an enjoyable experience.

End of Summer Weekend Getaway

We really enjoyed the farmhouse and especially the pool/hot tub! Overall unit was clean and as advertised. We had everything we needed to prepare breakfast/lunch. Only thing could make stay better was to have a dumpster in the community vs being asked to take trash back to rental office.

Relaxing getaway with family at RRG

Nice cabin with 2 enormous bedrooms, big front yard for playing football or cornhole. Back of house has a large covered deck overlooking pool & HotTub.

For the most part our stay was enjoyable but like most places they did not have sharp kitchen knives. We had to sharpen them ourselves to be able to cook. The house also did not come with a single cutting board. We had to ask management for one.

The cabin is located in a beautiful area. Check in was easy and friendly. Thcabin it self is beautiful. We had 9 people in our group and everyone had a place to sleep. The town isnvery small, but option for food, shops, and several activities.

Floors were in bad shape. Furniture was out dated. Could not use charcoal grill. Wore out. Could have been cleaned a lot better on inside. Hot tub patio looks like you could fall thru. Hot tub didn’t work right so disappoint because that was why we took the Ike to go vacation.

Perfect location

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was perfect as stated in the property description. We could get where we needed to go in less than 10 minutes. Wifi worked great The owner even provided corn hole boards! Plenty of space for 9 people. The only negatie was the area does not have trash service so you have to take your trash out when you leave. We brought extra dishwasher and laundry detergent and glad we did as there was only 1 pod each. Not the end of the world at all. Owner provided plenty of towels and toilet paper. We had a blast and enjoyed our visit!

Perfect Location

The farmhouse was the perfect size for 2 mamas and 4 kids, and the location was close to everything we wanted to do. The foosball table was a huge hit with the kids. Great place!

Just what we needed

The kids said this was one of their favorite trips! They were content to just swim in the pool all day every day, but were happy for the WiFi when we pulled them out. Both of my boys made huge progress as swimmers in 1 week, and we still had time for hiking, trips to get ice cream, the Nada tunnel, & a boat tour with gorge underground. We even saw turkeys in the yard! The area & scenery was beautiful, and the house + pool were perfect! Special thanks to Leslie at the office & Debbie- both were wonderful the few times we needed to reach out. We’re bookmarking this one for a potential return trip!

Loved this cabin!

The entire process from start to finish was smooth and easy. The cabin was clean, the pool refreshing and the hot tub hot. The beds were comfortable and the linen soft. I will definitely stay again when back in the area! Thank you for such an unforgettable and wonderful weekend!!

Needs updating and wasp removal

We enjoyed our stay but others might not be able to overlook some issues. Only one seat in the hot tub had full jets working. Giant wasps were coming out of the walls...we believe it is because the weather got warmer and woke them up. There is no fire pit. The kitchen chairs are glued together and don't fit adults. There are no comfortable chairs outside to sit and relax. The thunderstorm on the first night caused water to drip in the bathroom. Need bedside tables for medication and other needs. And the foosball table is duck taped together. Lastly, when we went to put the towels in the wash to leave, there were wet towels in the washer from all week. On the positive side, relaxing area, friendly and easy check-in, great location to Natural Bridge and red river gorge.
