This unique beach retreat also offers guests direct beach access from the main deck. Nedonna Lake is within walking distance and is perfect for fly fishing, so anglers better be ready! Some fish that you can find here are smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, brook trout, and perch. Downtown Rockaway Beach is two and a half miles south where you will find just about everything you may need, including great restaurants, a market, and some souvenir shops. If you want to drive into a larger town, take a 17-mile drive down the highway to Tillamook, which has an amazing and famous cheese factory, a variety of restaurants, and plenty of stores. Manzanita and Cannon Beach are a short drive north, offering incredible shops and terrific restaurants. Outdoor enthusiasts will love visiting Cape Meares State Park, which is almost 32 miles away and offers scenic hiking areas, jaw-dropping viewpoints, and a historic lighthouse.

Inside, the open floor plan effortlessly combines the kitchen, dining area, and living room. Start your days with a mouth-watering breakfast prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen before heading out to explore the beach and find treasures hidden in the sand. The dining table is perfect for a family or group of friends. Then, walk out to the living room and spread out comfortably on the sofa before streaming the latest Netflix series or movie or playing one of the board games available. Stargaze at night using the telescope available in the living area and experience a magical getaway like no other. Outside, the large wraparound deck features a gas grill, creating the ideal setting for an entertaining cookout.

Things to Know

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ā€˜Yesā€™ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great Relaxing Stay

We were here for the beach and this place delivers. Great view of the ocean from the house. Previous high tides have left the short path to the beach a steep, but manageable trail. You can also walk a few houses down to an access - but we didn't use that.This property offered great space for our group of 8. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Everything we needed and more in the kitchen. We were provided enough kitchen soaps to last our 3 night stay. There were many puzzles and games available in the house. For those that care, there was only 1 tv in the main living room, but we only used it one evening to entertain the child in the group.Our only disappointment was that upon arrival, 2 of the plastic outdoor chairs were broken beyond use. There was great response from the management company when I notified them and I had the impression that the issue would be resolved the next day. We did not receive any additional responses, so did not have enough outdoor furniture for everyone. A 3rd chair (which was already cracked) broke on our last full day.

On the beach

Beautiful home on the beach. Pictures donā€™t show the new furniture or the really large dining area. Old photos, I think. Comfortable and clean. Basic kitchen supplies are needed. We bought salt, sugar, tin foil, coffee, and other basics. Kitchen has good dishes, etc., but we had to get groceries immediately. Nice wood fireplace. The contractor next door was nice enough to give us untreated lumber scraps from construction. There are 15 steps to get to the main level of the house just fyi. We have been going to the Oregon coast for many tears and this is the first home we want to come back to. High praise

Son's 18th birthday

This house was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We were celebrating my son's 18th birthday, so it was perfect that there was seperate space for him and his friends downstairs away from family upstairs. The views and closeness to the ocean were fantastic and every room of the house hase some kind of books or game's. The only thing i would say was a negative, only because we had gamer boys, was that there is only 1 small tv in the house.

Thanksgiving Getaway

The location of this place is heavenly! The view from the house/deck is breathtaking. From previous reviews and descriptions, there used to be a path directly to the beach. However, that path has been washed away with recent storms, so it's a good 8-10 ft drop off the bluff now. There is another public path 1/2 a block up the road though, so not a big deal. We took chairs out and sat on the bluff for sunset - which was amazing every day we were there. Upon arrival, the house looked clean - the kitchen and bathrooms were all surface clean and well stocked. After settling in, however, it became evident that the place could use a deep cleaning. There are lots of spider & cob webs around the light fixtures, under/behind the TV stand, in the rafters, etc. The carpets have a lot of stains, although the house did not smell bad at all. (Assuming some of those stains are pet stains, being a pet friendly place.) We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner and found the kitchen to be very well stocked. I hauled a lot of unnecessary utensils/bowls/pans to be sure I had everything I needed, but never had to use my own because they had it all. Good to know for future visits! Overall, this place is perfect for a large group or family. (8 people max). Lots of room to spread out, play games, relax, etc. The window seats in the living room are great! I loved sitting in the sun coming through the windows after a chilly walk on the beach in the mornings. We will be back!

Love this house!

We rented this house before years ago multiple times and it never disappoints. Plenty of space for my family and now the dogs as well! Thank you for allowing our canine kids. The view is awesome and the short walk to the beach is so convenient. We will be coming back soon!

Good Location - Some attention needed

We started our trip by being notified that the house would not be available on time due to staffing issues. They offered a hundred dollar credit. I replied I felt this was not much compensation when we would have to eat out and not have any free time before retiring for the night. We started our travel late to accomodate the late checkin and were later notified the house was available on time for check-in. This was frustrating as we would not arrive in time. The house was clean and in a very good location with easy access to the beach. The house and property, however, need some attention. The carpets have some staining, the kitchen faucet leaks all the time, the sliding door to the deck is hard to open and close, the main floor bathroom shower door will not stay closed, to coffee maker leaks water, the dining table top is always sticky due to the varnish breaking down and there is tack weed all over the front and side yard which makes its hard on dogs and bare feet.

Book club on the ocean

Gorgeous location right on the beach. The great room of the house itself with its fireplace is truly impressive. The amenities in the house are lovely, and the deck has a stunning view. Do not plan on a hot tub as it says it is closed until further notice. We had even asked a few days before our departure and they said yes it was there and operational. It is not. A couple of things for the facilities manager to look into RS follows. The kitchen sink drips, the main floor bathroom, shower door does not close all the way, Plates and bowls have chips in them as we found that when we got there. Some outlets and lights do not work. Several of the patio chairs are broken. You need to buy your own firewood. We left behind what we purchased in town. All in all a beautiful experience .

Great place away from people!

Property was clean easy to check into and exactly as described in listing. The view was great and close to beach. The house was spacious and perfect for a large family or a few small familyā€™s sharing with plenty of parking space. Our only negative was the washing machine never worked right and then finally died but the manager was quick to respond when told about the problem. One recommendation would be to have a gas insert installed in the fireplace but by no means is it a deal breaker. We will be back for sure!

Wonderful ocean front location and views

This is an older, well built character home that has wonderful windows that take full advantage of the ocean views. Excellent access from the deck and short walk through the beach grass to the beautiful clean sand beach. Working BBQ and great hang out space on the deck. Living room was a favorite gathering and lounge spot. Charming Nedonna Beach community. House has some minor maintenance and cleaning needs. However aside from this would highly recommend. Deck with working BBQ offers great outdoor hang out space. Comfortable beds and bedding.

Perfect Get-a-way

The location of this house is amazing. Located along the coast line where we could drive to other points along the mid to upper coast line easily. The walk from the house to the beach is short.....my only suggestion is that maybe the grasses along the path be trimmed a bit to make for easier walking for older people. Overall, we were thrilled with the house and it fit our needs. Only complaints were that in the downstairs bathroom, you could tell it had not been cleaned adequately as there was a large spider web and dead spiders in it. (we saw the cleaning crew was there when we arrived 1/2 hour early, so knew it had just been visited by them) Cobwebs in both bottom and top bunk beds. There were some stains on the carpet in the upstairs bedroom (front...end), and some stains on that bedspread as well. There is a hole with a pipe behind it in the wall on the bottom bunk of the bunk bed room that I feel would have been pretty gross to sleep beside. Overall.....besides a few cleanliness things.....we were VERY happy with our stay. The only reason I mention these things is so that the word can get to the owner and cleaners about the cleaning crew maybe not being very thorough. We would use this house again.

Great location but many misses.

First and foremost we loved the location of this house - GREAT views and walk to the beach. We loved the sunken living room (great place to hang out for a family reunion), all with exceptional views. We also very much enjoyed the deck. What we didn't like (the reason for 3 stars), was on the day of arrival we were called around 10 AM to be told the check in time had changed from 4PM to 7PM - 7 PM is unacceptable. We were told due to Covid cleaning protocols we couldn't check in until 7 PM (our reservation stated 4 pm check in due to protocols). It was obvious upon arrival that due the busy holiday weekend, they were short staffed - a cleaning crew probably canceled and they had to scramble. We vacuumed the floor upon our 7 PM arrival and dusted the bedroom furniture. The sheets were shredded on some beds, and some sheets didn't fit the beds. We ended up waking up on top of mattress pads. Some bunks didn't have a top sheet - it was unclear if the duvets had been washed. The beds are not comfortable in the least - they felt very warped, springy and old. Time to either switch the mattresses around or buy new ones. Our biggest gripe was our family reunion of six (including my parents who were in their late 70s) and two dogs, arrived at 4PM as planned for check in, and had to figure out the next 3 hours of being totally displaced. We were offered half of the cleaning deposit back... nowhere near appropriate for the inconvenience. Once settled, we enjoyed the location very much, but for the price of this property I would have expected a higher level experience. I don't like leaving any kind of negative reviews as I'm a VRBO owner myself. Hoping this will ensure this doesn't happen to others. Oh, and bring extra wine glasses - they didn't have enough (maybe 4).

Great multi-generational great away

Location was great. Something for everyone Grandparents, parents, kids and dog. Kitchen was well equipped for family meals with the exception of needing smaller bowls for kids and snacks. Couple of notes for owner sink in upstairs shared bathroom drains very slow. Plus a good broom and dustpan would help. Hope to visit again.

Beautiful spot, great house!

We had a wonderful time in this surprisingly beautiful home! Perfectly priced for an off-season visit, we chose this spot never having stayed at Rockaway Beach and were so glad we did. The house was inviting, well kept, comfortable and super clean. Our kids loved the bunk room, and all the games and puzzles around the house! So many thoughtful details throughout. The living room was our favorite, boasting lovely views of the waves over the dunes through large bay windows. And the short private trail to the beach made it easy to come and go to the beach often. We will definitely be back!
