Great for large family

Not bad
The location was perfect and the property was able to accommodate our large group. We stayed for 4 days and we had to buy our own supplies (toilet paper, garbage bags, etc.). The hot tub smelled like sewer and didn’t seem like it had been cleaned. The yard was not mowed and had garbage around. The inside was clean but not throughly. The basement could have been used for a game room or second living area. There is only one TV. Overall we enjoyed the the stay.

Great location/ Spacious / Needs updates
Our family stayed at this property while in Rochester for the PGA Championship. We loved the location. We also chose the property because it had a fenced in yard for the toddlers to play in but, the grass and weeds had taken over and there was no way for them to play outside which was very disappointing. The hot tub had some parts on it that were broken, and had black flakes floating around in it, didn’t make me feel comfortable that it had even been cleaned, also disappointing. Inside , the property was spacious enough. It is an older home and needs many updates and things that needed to be fixed. There were ants in the living room and ants in the bedroom with bunk bed- ants actually crawling in the bed. I do realize that not all supplies are always provided, but all we were provided was 3 rolls of TP, one roll of paper towel and two garbage bags. The dishwasher soap was empty and no laundry detergent was there. We did need to reach out to the property manager upon check in as we did not have the key code and he was very timely in returning my call.

Everything was fantastic during our stay. Place is clean, smelled good walking in, beds are new and comfy and everything worked as it should. Will stay again when visiting family.

Nice place to stay!
This house was perfect for our two families for a weekend of RIT hockey games, playing in the snow, and catching up. The house had enough space for us to spread out, a backyard for the kids to play in, as well as a school playground directly across the street. It had everything we needed to prepare breakfast and lunch at the house every day; we of course had to have our local favorites for dinner. When we come back to RIT next time, we'll be staying here again.

There were 10 of us here for a family event. The home is easy to get to, not far from the airport and shopping/eating places. The area was a well kept neighborhood and we felt safe. The house is older but had everything we needed. Having coffee available was a nice touch! There was one problem at the very beginning and the owners were quick to respond and solve it for us. Yes, I would definitely stay here again!

Great location
The house was perfect for our family. With 6 adults and 5 kids, there was plenty of room. Kitchen had all the basic necessities so we were able to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our dog loved the fenced in yard and our children loved having close access to the playground across the street. Owner was super easy to communicate with as we had an issue with the smart lock. He was quick to respond and quick to resolve the issue without it interfering with our schedule. Driveway provided plenty of room to park or RV and 2 cars with room left for the kids to play basketball. Great place!

2.5 stars; different experience from previous guests
We were in ROC for a wedding and needed a dog-friendly place with a fenced yard. This house was in a convenient location and had a 4.8 average rating. We suspect the cleaning/maintenance providers have changed recently, as our experience was much different from those of previous guests. Pre-stay communication and check-in process were fine. Upon arrival Thursday evening the fenced back yard was about calf-deep with grass, knee-high with weeds. Host messaged the night we arrived, advised us to let them know of any issues. We replied Friday morning asking if back yard could be mowed. No mowing or response for duration of our stay. As we were busy with wedding activities, we didn't have time to continue to try to reach them. We walked our dog around the neighborhood when possible but did find 2 ticks on him after he was in the yard. It was also challenging to pick up after him due to deep growth. Sunday evening we had a message from host with check-out instructions for Monday. No mention of yard request. We followed all check-out instructions, including starting a load of laundry and taking out trash for weekly pickup. Pros: Fenced yard ideal for dogs (if lawn properly maintained). Heating/cooling system great - we needed both during this stay. Water temp/pressure both excellent. Nice TV with numerous premium channels. Bathrooms worn but clean. Neighborhood great for walking, playground at school across street. Easy access to major highways. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby. Cons: Fridge had been moved leaving a very dirty area of floor fully exposed. Floors had perhaps been swept but needed thorough mopping, as evidenced by our socks after we removed shoes as sign requests. Dusty; entertainment center in particular covered in dust. Master bath has towel bar holders but bar itself missing. Bed blankets had funky/musty odors as if not washed. Limited clothing storage space. Kitchen not equipped for cooking full meals; only very basic dishes, utensils, pots & pans. No bathmats, dish towels, or potholders. No recycling bins indoors or outdoors. Welcome rules inside front door show different address, different trash pickup date, etc. We took photos of the good and the bad, but there's no way to attach them to this review. We would like this option and will suggest to VRBO. This could be a great property with more careful attention. We hope the owners will take this review to heart for both their own and future guests' benefit.

Great location for us, near our son and near RIT campus. Great that the whole family got to stay together and celebrate our sons graduation. Better than all separate hotel rooms.

Wonderful stay!!
My kids loved the house so much! They kept asking me if we could buy it. :) It’s right across from an elementary school so the kids played on the playground and field there as well. The beds were comfortable and since we have a large family, I was pleasantly surprised at how many bedding options there were. Great location- not far from Palmyra and short trip to Niagara Falls. Hosts were great.

This house worked out perfectly for our needs. It was a girls weekend to celebrate the bride to be. It was easily accessible to everything in Rochester. Great size driveway to fit everyone’s cars.

Wonderful, Spacious Property in Quiet Neighborhood!
My now-wife and I were getting married in Rochester and were looking for a space to spend time with our out-of-town wedding party members. This was a *perfect* space for us to relax, sleep, and spend quality time with folks from the wedding. There were many, many beds available, ample sheets and toiletries provided, as well as a kitchen that was stocked with general cooking supplies that allowed us to enjoy homemade breakfast together. We’d highly recommend staying here, especially for groups of friends and family looking for a quiet place to hang their hats. Thank you!

Good location and spacious
Communication and check in were seamless. Huge Roku TV in living room was nice. Decor was fine but a dresser or two in the bedrooms to store clothes would be nice to add. Most of home was clean but the bathrooms were somewhat dirty. Overall we were happy with our stay during move-in weekend at RIT. Very close to campus.

Great place for wedding in Scottsville
We rented this place so we could attend a wedding in Scottsville. It was very clean, tidy and great location to local stores. Super awesome that it is dog friendly, nice big fenced in backyard. Would recommend.

Great trip with pup
When our RIT student said she hoped we'd make a visit, then made it clear it was to see her dog, we knew we would be hard pushed to find the perfect spot. We won the lottery! The house is in a quiet, family neighborhood. It has a small fenced-in yard which the pup enjoyed sunbathing in whilst we sat outside. It's a short drive from the college and well placed for many great places to hike with the pup (we loved Mendon Park). Our hosts were very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Family trip to see snow
The owner was very responsive. Check in instructions were simple and the house was a good size. Plenty of space to fit a large group. We traveled to Rochester so my sons can see snow. Nice sized backyard with a fire pit. Also a basketball hoop for the kids to play. Location was close to everything. Olive Garden, Carrabas, Long horn ,chipotle McDonalds etc all within 10 mins from the house. Also lots of stores if you like to shop including Walmart. My group consisted of adults and kids. Kids ages were 10 to 13. Great for a family getaway. We even got some snow. Owners answered any questions I had almost immediately and also allowed me to check in a little early as my kids were exhausted from a 6am flight.

Great stay in Rochester
The rental was in a great location and the owners were very responsive and helpful.
