"My ETA was well past the last check in, but a member of staff was kind enough to stay behind. The dorm had 4 bunkbeds, an AC unit and a fan. The AC and fan worked well. Each guest was given a towel and a locker big enough to hold a large backpack. The bed had an Asian style firm mattress and a thin sheet, a private light, 2 sockets and a small shelf. "I booked at Golden Gates years back, it went great! I recently booked again at GG because of my previous experience with them. Golden Gates again was a great experience. Staff were very nice and professional. My flight was rebooked and I needed to stay an extra night, the transition was very fast and easy. Stores are nearby to purchase any necessities. If I’m ever in Dumaguete again, I’ll be staying at Golden Gates without hesitation. "

"The rooms were as described, and true to the pictures. The staff were friendly and accommodating heads up if you enjoy a little drink at night, probably not the hotel for you as they have a no drinking policy. The surrounding area was close to everything you need."

"it’s near Robinsons Mall and Ceres Bus Terminal which i like very much. my room came with a bacony facing the street. it’s not quite but it’s safe and free home cook breakfast all day."

"Small room, sparse, no frills, great restaurant, great common area for hostil. For the price excellent value. If your expectations is hotel rooms then stay at a hotel. Full stop hostel vibe but with sparse safe single rooms."
