"Great value for money and location is perfect for not being too ‘in the thick of it’"

"I had made a call prior to check in to request parking, advised to get there early and ask at desk. This was incorrect and there were no spaces available. At 15.12, after standing in a queue for over 15 mins I am told my room was not ready, the manager came out and was totally disinterested in me as a customer, but found one that would be in another 5 mins. "Great hotel, great location, great facilities (including their own carpark). The staff were excellent and extremely helpful and our room was more like a suite, with 2 pairs of veranda doors. My only slight disappointment was the breakfast. I had a full English and I’d obviously been cooked 15 minutes previously and kept under hot plate. "Clean room. Toilet seat needs repairing. No Air con and no fans supplied in our room, Only Air con in reception only half working Could do with being dragged into 21st century. Needs decorating urgently. Car parking should be free. But handy for meeting in the city"

"What a lovely place. A hidden gem! Such a good location, the staff were really friendly and the room was spacious. There is parking at The Lawns for £10.70 for 24 hours right next door. Very close to the castle, a short walk to the cathedral and lots to do nearby!"
