lovely small old pub

stayed overnight on 27/10/15 the weather wasn't very good outside but the pub was full of very friendly locals and visitors. although we didn't have evening meal in the pub the people dining were enjoying the food which did look very good,the real ale vwas good too which was sampled by me lol. the room upstairs where we stayed was very nice was lovely and warm,the bed was very soft (infact just a bit too soft for us) breakfast next morning was plentiful and very nice. but overall we would stay in the bruce arms again and maybe eat evening meal too. thank you to all the staff who where very friendly and helpful.

It was a good time. food was great and the staff as well. You are over a pub so it can be loud at times.

A Bargain stay in a fabulous location

My Stay at the Bruce was for a friends wedding in Masham. It was for 1 night only, the location was excellent, the pub itself was friendly with a great selection of Ales and the food was to a good standard. The room itself was large and spotlessly clean with a shared bathroom that had an excellent shower.The breakfast was excellent and worth a visit just for that I literally rolled to the wedding (great choice and quality). I loved the relaxed nature of the pub hotel and would 100% stay there again if I was in the area.

Central hotel

This is an ok place to stay. We wanted somewhere central as we were doing a tour of the brewery. This was the only place available at short notice. The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was freshly cooked and good. Staff were pleasant. Be prepared for lots of noise up to 2am on saturday night, the bedrooms are above the bar so this unavoidable.
