"If you need a place to lay your head…not too terrible. Theres a Walmart, a cute coffee shop and good restaurants. But if you’re looking for quality, cleanliness or the feeling of privacy, it’s not great. Staff was helpful though. "

"Went to the area for a Vintage Base Ball game. Decided to stay in Cheboygan to explore another city in Michigan I have not been too. This Hotel was the perfect location. It was just a minutes drive from downtown and a ten minute walk. Close to several Lighthouses that you can explore. We enjoyed the Hot Tub, Pool and the Breakfast they served. Check out the yogurt station with a variety of granola options. Only downside was inside the room there was a part of the floor that was peeling right in...

"My grandson went into the restroom in the pool area. The owner/maintenance guy finally came and was rude and blamed my grandson. After 4( minutes they finally drilled out the lock and got him out. He is ten years old and was terrified. If that is how they handle situations I am glad it wasn’t more serious and I don’t need to stay there. On the other end the lady working the desk at check in and check out was very nice."

"Disappointing stay. The rooms were very small, the property felt outdated, the breakfast was poor, and the pool was not clean. Overall, the hotel did not meet our expectations."

"You couldn't have asked forever. Anyone to be kinder. Everyone was wonderful. We were really amazed that the space was so big. And we loved our view of the beach."

"It was disappointing at that price point of 360 usd a night. Sheets weren’t clean. Towels had stains. Nothing at the gym works. Breakfast sub par. I wouldn’t recommend. Good thing is location right by the lake."

"Room was fine, mattress was a bit too soft but room was clean. The biggest drawback was the wifi was really, really, really poor. Location was very convenient, within walking distance of the ferry dock and the local restaurants and shops."

"As expected this lodge is quite old. It is well taken care of with kind staff. The rooms were clean, I felt safe. There was a continental breakfast which had the items I needed. They were pet friendly. I believe most hotels are quite expensive for what they offer and this was no exception. Overall, I have no complaints."

"Bed was super uncomfortable, definitely in need of replacing them. Location was a wonderful positive for this motel and the pool/hot tub was nice!"

"Don’t in early spring bug hatch is terrible!! And they won’t refund you ! Only good thing was bed was fairly comfortable!! Furniture old and delapidated, toilet took a very long time to refill. Balcony was too scary to step out on! Even if there were no Mitch flies!! Parking was a problem ! Not enough spaces! Place has definitely out lasted its time! Don’t waste your money!!"

"Waterpark doesn’t open until 2 which is a bummer but the beach is across the way. Beds are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms lack drying lines for wet clothes. The kitchenette that is advertised for the suite is nothing more than an average hotel room kitchen… it just has more cabinets. Do plan on bringing a hot plate if you want to cook in your kitchen. Staff are helpful and accommodating."
