The Space

This unit is located within a two story Queen Anne brick home built in the late 1800's originally as a single family residence for the grandfather of Spottswood Robinson III. The building was restored and renovated into two apartments with incredible care to National Historic standards. The apartments have beautifully revived doorknobs, hinges, radiators, fireplaces, plasterwork, and heart pine flooring. Decorated with period style furnishings, outfitted with upgrades galore, and all the conveniences and comforts of a modern home.

Guest Access

You will have access to the entire downstairs apartment with private entrances in the front and back of the house.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is a centrally located historic district in the capital of Virginia. There are a lot of historic sites as well as creative redevelopment in the area. Numerous art galleries and restaurants are around most corners as well as uniquely repurposed old buildings, statues, parks and cafes.

Getting around is a breeze with minimal traffic considering the downtown location and a high speed bus line nearby. Sidewalks on every street. Two interstate on-ramps just a few blocks away and plenty of uber drivers in the area. Rush hour is 8-9:30am and 4:30-7pm on week days.

House Rules

- CHECK IN/OUT: Check-in any time after 3PM and Check out by 11AM. Please let me know if you need to check in after 10pm.
- The House is a Non-Smoking house with no smoking anywhere on the property. Closest smoking is in the alley behind the house or on the sidewalk in front of the house.
-No pets
-No parties, events, or filming on site.
- Quiet time after 11pm
- Self check-in with key code door locks
- Please no hard shoes such as high heels in the house as they can scratch the floors.
- Any additional guests not accounted for in the booking who are seen staying at the apartment will be charged an extra $40 per a guest, per a night. If you want to add more guests to your reservation, you can click on "Change reservation" in the details section of your reservation and make a request with the additional guests.
