"Mein Mann und ich haben drei wunderbare Wochen in der Casa de Ponte verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, liegt ruhig und ist gut ausgestattet. Man findet Gewürze, Essig und Öl, Küchenrolle, Spüli, Seife, Waschmittel und noch einiges mehr. Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden wöchentlich gewechselt. Zur Begrüßung stand ein gut gefüllter Obstkorb in der Küche. Auf der oberen Terrasse gibt es Liegen, Tisch, Stühle und einen Sonnenschirm. Dort haben wir fast jeden Abend gegessen und den Sonnenuntergang...

"Schöne großzügige Wohnung mit toller Aussicht. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, sogar mit Spülmaschine. Auto ist empfehlenswert, Geschäfte und Restaurants 10 Autominuten den Berg hinunter. Vermieterin Leontina war sehr gastfreundlich und hat uns mit Obst, Gemüse und Brot reichlich versorgt."

"The property was as described and provided a very comfortable base. The property is within easy walking distance of Funchal city centre and the restaurants and amenities of the Lido area. Please be aware though that, if you have any mobility or respiratory issues, it is a steep walk back! "One of three self catering properties located in a private banana plantation.Very peaceful at night and yet only a few hundred yards from Reids Palace.The property is very well equipped with separate lounge , bedroom (very comfortable bed) , bathroom and kitchen / diner.The kitchen has a balcony overlooking the banana trees and there are views to the bay from the bedroom and lounge. You also have shared use of a very nice swimming pool which I would imagine to be a huge bonus in the summer...

"Part II of my Review The small community of Loreto where the Casa is located, has one main street with several bars, an appliance shop, a market, and a grocery store. The grocery is well stocked (and there is also a chain of large modern groceries scattered around the island). We enjoyed Sunday service at the Catholic Church in town with its outside pews. "The garden was lovely with a nice secluded spot for sunbathing. The house was nice. The balcony having lovely views over towards the sea. The locals are very friendly. However the house was a little dusty and there could be more attention to the cleaning in the bedroom. The washing machine was not working which was more of an inconvenience."

"Das Orchidenhaus ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Der Blick auf das Meer ist einfach traumhaft. Das Haus ist sehr sauber , gepflegt und bietet alles was man braucht zum Wohnen und seinen Urlaub zu genießen. "The house was lovely and clean and well presented in a lovely garden setting. The pool was incredibly clean and sun loungers and towels provided. nice communal spaces for BBQ and eating outside. Enough on site parking in a secured garden area. Kitchen could benefit from some baking trays and a toaster, but everything else was provided. You do need a car or use taxis as its a long steep road up from Calheta itself and the beaches. The manager was so helpful and great at communicating with us and...

"Sehr schön, sehr groß, gute Lage für Ausflüge. Gestört hat allerdings eins Pumpe, die dich nachts sehr häufig eingeschaltet hat und sehr laut war. Es war zwar noch sehr frisch morgens und abends und alles etwas klamm, doch standen genügend Heizlüfter zur Verfügung!"

"We spend here for two weeks and it was so wonderful. The place was exactly like in pictures and the view was almost more beautiful. It was nice and quiet and everyone was so helpful. We didn't have car, so needed good shoes for hiking, but the bus goes also quite near and quite often."

"Café da manhã excelente, limpeza e atendimento foram ótimos. Usamos o estacionamento para o carro alugado e deu tudo certo. O hotel é grande. Tem piscina coberta e descoberta, academia simples, saunas, bar etc. Tudo limpo e organizado. É bem localizado, porém não é tão perto do centro para ir a pé. Existe uma linha de ônibus na frente do hotel que te deixa no centro, então tudo certo. Não usamos o serviço de jantar, mas existe a opção. Próximo do hotel existem alguns restaurantes para comer (aprox 5 a 10 min caminhada do hotel). Super indico."
