The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the grounds impeccably maintained, resulting in a perfect family reunion weekend involving picnics in the gardens, meals in the restaurants and restful sleeps. "Overall very happy with our stay, the staff are great, very happy and polite. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was ample and well cooked we were catered for very well. My only issue would be the room was a bit small and the bed a bit hard but we didn’t let it spoil our stay at all."

The owners are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area and the staff were really lovely. "The staff and both mangers were great really friendly and helpful but the room number although clean killed my ocd with the telly on the leaning to one side wallpaper pealing respairs to the wall not even rubbed down and painted carpets need to go in a skip and the bed if I’m honest the food and the beer was outstanding as well as the staff so they made the break away not the room if your listening head office spend a few bob !!"

"We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The yard was unkempt and there was a general air of neglect about the whole place. "
