    Otters View – Cosy Underground Escape in the Heart of Mid Wales

    Otters View is the definition of cosy, quirky stay and is the perfect place for a group of up to six people to make memories to last a lifetime! With some of the most amazing views Mid Wales' has to offer from the doorstep, this idyllic Underground House nestled in the hillside really is a bucket list stay, so make sure you tick this one off the list

    Enter the property from the idyllic outside area and you are greeted by the pristine open plan living/dining & kitchen area, the hub of the Underground House where memories will truly be made. The neutral, warming colours of this interior really give off the home from home glow so you can feel utterly relaxed during your stay.

    The kitchen comes complete with oven, hob, microwave, kettle & toaster as well as a fridge with freezer and a large dining area with high stools, the perfect place to enjoy that family favourite supper or get engrossed in a board game. Nestle into the plush grey corner sofa and get stuck into that series on Netflix you had already started!

    Otters View is the perfect stay for up to six adults,with two king sized bedrooms & a bunk room, be sure to grab the king room with the doors onto the patio area for easy access to the hot tub! These bedrooms boast crisp, white bedding and the perfect place to relax and make the most of that much needed lie in you have been promising yourself.

    The outside space at this property really is idyllic, your own private area overlooking one of Wales' best views, y ou really need to see it to believe it! Relax with a glass of your favourite bubbly in the exclusive hot tub and then later at night toast gooey marshmallows over the fire pit.

    Located near the bustling market town of Rhayader, venture out and enjoy the lovely places to eat, watch the Red Kites fed locally, explore the majestic Elan Valley or enjoy a mosey in the local Gilfach Nature Reserve, there really is endless opportunities to explore.

    Otters View truly is a 'hidden' gem. Comfortable, cosy and created just for you.

    Up to two dogs welcome but must be kept off the furniture and on a lead when outside.

A family treat

We have had a lovely family get together at Otters View, the accommodation is very atmospheric and site staff are very helpful and friendly. Rhayader is a stunning location with so much on the doorstep.

Beautiful piece of Wales

As a big Tolkien fan, this place was just beautiful and awesome. Lovely cottage, spacious, and just nice quiet countryside with animals just chilling. Would highly recommend!

A beautifully relaxing Easter weekend

We stayed in otters over Easter weekend. We loved the stay and will be returning. The local village is a short drive away and has pubs, shops, cafes etc. The highlight of the trip for my children was waking up to goats at the door

Wonderful Place

This is a wonderful place to stay, overall condition of the accommodation is really good, hot tub is brilliant and was at a lovely temperature. Woke up to snow on our second day and it was an amazing view to wake up to.

January Stay in the Snow

We had a wonderful stay in January. The property was gorgeous, unique, and incredibly cosy. Enjoying the hot tub while it snowed was magical, and the clear night skies gave us amazing views of the stars. We loved the peaceful walks and beautiful surroundings. It’s very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and perfect for families with kids. Highly recommend!

Stunning location

Stunning location ...... loved looking at all the animals and kites ....hot tub checked daily and super clean with clear instructions....... accommodation unique and well equipped sofa comfortable......beds a little on the firm side and outside seating a little low for tall people ....... loved our stay would recommend...... thank you

A little slice of heaven in Rhayader

We stayed at otters view for 3 nights to celebrate my wife’s birthday & it did not disappoint! Absolutely stunning location, the views are to die for & so peaceful. The underground house is gorgeous, so spacious yet cosy, with everything you could need for your stay. Instructions were also clear & easy to get on site & locate the house. Loved every minute, did not want to leave! We will definitely be back soon!

Overall great little getaway

As a party of two the Otters view was a perfect option for a little getaway, easy arrival with no fuss settling in. Very clean, Ample space, very comforting location, and as a big LOTR’s fan the hobbit lodge was a perfect choice. Would definitely visit again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was very comfortable and relaxing. Exactly what we were after. Found the hobbit huts very comfortable and the views from the jacuzzi fantastic. Would come back again. Thank you.
