"Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. I asked the owner Stacie if I could therefore cancel my second night and obtain a partial refund for it. Stacie agreed...

"We were looking for a convenient place to stay in Bridlington and I'm so glad we found "Salt on the Harbour". From the outside, it doesn't look like a hotel and you might have second thoughts. But inside, the rooms are very comfortable, with lovely views over the harbour. The location is perfect, with easy access to the beach, town and harbour, plus free parking is a bonus. Breakfast was great and served quickly, which was appreciated. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely...

"A decent base, walkable into the centre. This is a separate building to the pub so no late night noise except for others staying over. We stayed one night and this was enough but cleanliness, especially the bathroom, could be improved for longer stays. Staff checking in in the pub were friendly and helpful. Good selection of local options in the lobby."

"The room look like a building site. Plasterwork cracked paint work flacky. Bathroom there was little room betwheen the toilet and shower.yesterday morning after the toilet l found thè mess coming up the shower drain.l will not be staying there again."

"The room, bathroom and towels were spotless. Breakfast was beautiful. Great choices and very polite, pleasant staff. Music was playing in the breakfast room and whilst most of the songs were pleasant, some were a bit much and too loud for first thing in the morning. We would definitely return however. A very pleasant mini break. The hotel is central to everything with wonderful walks into Scarborough."

"Arrived to be given a key and parking disc , friendly but nobody overnight at a reception, big room but found it very noisy with the seagulls and road noise as single glazed windows , tap wobbly and no waste cover in shower , should have unplugged the fridge as noisy at night on and off , no plug point near the dressing table so couldn’t see when drying hair , did smell like a greasy spoon !!!"

"I stayed for a night on 4 July 26 with my sister and we had a lovely time, the hotel was cosy and the staff welcoming. We had a double en-suite room each and the rooms were cosy and well decorated and furnished. The bathrooms were modern and the showers were great. The beds were so comfy, we slept so well. Breakfast was great and they made me vegetarian sausages. The staff were wonderful. We will be returning . It was great value for money too."

"Would thoroughly recommend this Hotel, I visit and stay in Scarborough every 3 weeks but this is the first time I’ve used this hotel but it won’t be my last. Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented , staff are welcoming and helpful. It’s position just above the spa gives wonderful views and it’s a very short stroll into the town and beaches."

"Had a very nice stay here. It is the first time we stayed. We had a larger room. It was very clean & newly decorated, such a bonus. For the price it was excellent, would recommend it. Staff were friendly. It was a good location for the town. Meals available, we did not use the these facilities, so carn't comment. We would stay here again. "
