"The room was pretty clean, although I did find things that were large enough to be seen by someone who was cleaning, but I didn’t get picked up. The rooms also smelled damp like the air-conditioning wasn’t removing the humidity out of the room. Everything felt rather wet as far as everything else, the pool was great. The staff is nice. The only big complaint I have is breakfast. I realize it’s complementary but for God sakes, change it up a little the same crap every single day eggs and sausage...

"Our room was newly remodeled. The decore was very soothing. We had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It was a 4 minute walk to the beach and the boardwalk. I would definitely stay here again."

"Everything was great, never have I ever such wonderful treatment as I did staying at The Tides, staying in Hampton for work and getting out later at night really made it hard to get a parking space as everyone else had already shown up and checked in and parked before I was even half way through a shift and the management of the property made sure I had a spot when I got there being so late after check in and that was really helpful! Sometimes it's the little things that are most helpful"

"Beautiful spot. And such a lovely room! Great little walking path through a pretty garden and down a path to river. Breakfast had a little bit for everyone - thoughtful setup! But the shower situation seems dangerous: ice cold or burning hot. (It is an old, historical building- I get it, but…). When you finally get it kind of normal, the pipes start to shake and there is a loud sound. Bed could also use a comfy pillow top. But, if you like a firm mattress, then it works. Wish we could...
