Il Frantoio di Chantal e Charmaine

Il Frantoio is a large portion of a building, completely renovated and is about 520m above sea level.
A loft of about 110sqm on the ground floor with a separate entrance, it is surrounded by a large garden of about 700sqm with many fruit trees, an escarpment of herbs, and a large gravel yard of which about 60sqm is covered by a loggia.
Il Frantoio is immersed in the green, surrounded by olive groves and chestnut woods but also 5' from Reggello, a well-organized village with all activities, stores, supermarket, pharmacies and, very interestingly, it’s only about 15' from the Incisa-Valdarno exit of the A1 highway, from which you can reach the historic center of Florence in about 25' drive but also visit other historic cities such as Siena, Pisa, Lucca, ...
The apartment comfortably accommodates 4 people and is spread over a large loft with kitchen and dining area, with a large ventilated wood-burning fireplace and, living area plus an area reserved for a double bedroom, plus a bathroom with shower. From this large space there is access to another room separated by a sliding door with another double bed with a large french window that also opens onto the garden.
During the renovation we wanted to maintain, also in a very obvious way, the previous use of artisanal olive press, leaving in this second living room the two imposing millstones that were part of the old machinery, useful for pressing olives from our surrounding fields.
The property has got all modern equipment including heating, air conditioners, surveillance cameras, dishwasher, washing machine, safe, ...
The wide loggia allows you to appreciate the landscape, use the brazier to cook tasty grills with sausages, rotisserie or a real Fiorentina steak that you can also enjoy at the table, also arranged under the loggia, along with a good glass of wine. Outside there is another small bathroom with toilet.
The furnishings have been selected respecting the Tuscan style of this farmhouse, keeping also some antiques and small collections of objects and utensils from the past that emphasize the local and Tuscan craft traditions.
The location of this property allows you not only to enjoy a relaxing stay among the greenery with a pleasant climate but also to reach the historical center of Florence about 35 km away, its Museums or other historical cities in Tuscany.
We could also suggest walks in the woods, along the creek, trips around the hills and mountains of Reggello, try picking olives in our grounds and take the harvest to a nearby mill where you can watch the pressing;
or go chestnut picking in the woods or just look for field salads in our farmland.

- 4 people (two double beds) with possible addition of an infant bed
- Available 12 months/year
- Minimum stay of 4 days
- Maximum stay of 30 days, or agreed together availability
- Check-in after 3 p.m. but to be agreed with guests in days prior to arrival. For the late check-in, after 9 pm there is an additional charge of 30€ to be delivered directly to the host
- Check-out before 11.00 am but with the possibility to organize it together and defined a few days before your arrival, depending on our booking calendar and the time needed by our team for the necessary cleaning.

For additional security of the house, there are cameras otside that film the garden and the street. They can be deactivated by the guest with a switch.
