Hello! Welcome to The Jacobs Beach Cottage!!! We are excited to share to you our SMALL humble but charming beach cottage. What we love about our cottage home is the outstanding view of the Chesapeake Bay with white sandy beach, just steps from our door!!!

The beach cottage is a SMALL "INTIMATE" BEACH COTTAGE but it is aesthetically designed utilizing all spaces with beauty, functions and comfort of our guests in mind. The cottage is for guests to enjoy the full house, deck, grounds, shed and the white sandy beach of Chesapeake Bay. A newly renovated single level home ā€“ 2 bedrooms (convertible to 3 bedrooms), 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and sunroom with full view of the Bay. PLS NOTE: THE MASTERBED IS ELEVATED, PLS WATCH YOUR STEPS IN THE PLATFORM WHEN YOU ARE GOING IN/OUT OF THE BED. The cottage has fully equipped kitchen, brand new appliances, bidets in bathrooms (luxury bidet in masterbath). Linens, towels, kayaks, assorted water gears, beach chairs are provided; also, life vests for adults and children provided. PLS BRING FLOATS AND LIFE VEST FOR SMALL KIDS. 3 nights minimum required stay; maximum of 6 guests. The size of our cottage is only allowed for 6 guests, as required by Northumberland County law. On site parking (2 cars), please do NOT PARK ON THE STREET, as per County law. If you have guests coming during the day there is an additional of $10 per person/per day for the use of the facilities. PLS CONTACT US IF YOU ARE OVER A GROUP OF 6+ DURING DAYTIME, WE APPRECIATE YOUR HONESTY- we are a flexible host:)

Wifi, TV w/ basic cable channels, Blu-ray/DVD player, and wide range of movie selections available. CELL PHONE CONNECTION IS SPOTTY. If you are teleworking or attending a virtual meeting, The Jacobs Beach Cottage is actually a perfect retreat to focus on your job and enjoy the tranquility of the natureā€¦or perhaps it is better to leave your laptop computer at home and enjoy the moment with your family at the beach. Either way, The Jacobs Beach Cottage is an excellent getaway destination!!! Visit the neighboring water towns of Kilmarnock, Irvington, White Stone, Heathsville, Matthews and many moreā€¦Explore the picturesque land-and-seascape of Northern Neck!!!

Perfect getaway

Best we've ever experienced

Everything associated with our stay was superior. The cleanliness, the arrangements inside the home, the view, the varied wildlife we saw, the local trips we took, the day cruise to Tangier Island, and most importantly, the personal care that the host took to welcome us to celebrate my 80th birthday. I love taking photos and this is an amazing location for that. The Herons, Bluebirds, Eagles, and even a hummingbird seemed to be posing for a photo. And the stars at night over the Chesapeake allowed me to take night photos that I could not have gotten from a less dark place. This is by far the best mini vacation we have taken at a cottage anywhere. And to top it off, the neighnor was very helpful and the locals we met were all very friendly. We strongly recommend this beach cottage!

Wonderful beach-front cozy cottage

My 2 granddaughters (ages 5 & 10) and I had a wonderful 4 day 3 night stay here. The cottage was so clean, had tons of both bathroom and kitchen items for us to use, kayaks, beach chairs and boogie boards for us to use, and the cottage is decorated so nicely with beachy-themed decor. Be mindful that it is small, but it is exactly how it is portrayed in the listing. Perfect for us. Just walk out the front door, across the yard, and you are on the private beach. Located in a quiet neighborhood, yet just minutes away from Reedville which has excellent seafood restaurants. We enjoyed it so much!

This was such an amazing end to summer and back to school surprise for our daughter!!! My hubby and I had been before and we knew we had to bring her. Awesome view

Our stay for 2 weeks was awesome! Couldnā€™t get enough of the view! Lived on the deck. Private beach was amazing and the house was fully stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. This was our first vacation in 50 years without any kids or grandkids and it was super relaxing and quiet. would definitely go back as long as I donā€™t have to bring kids or grandkids!

Perfect trip

We had the best stay in this cottage. My 7 year old son spent all day on the beach/in the river enjoying swimming, kayaking and boogie boarding! I loved that he didn't have to sacrifice his playtime for my daughter's nap time or anything because the beach was literally in the backyard!! The house is very clean and they have everything you need. The owner is very quick to respond if you have any questions. Friendly and welcoming people. Highly recommend!!! Escape to paradise

We gave this weekend trip to our son and daughter-in-law for combined birthdays! Their reviewā€¦. ā€œThis was a lovely maintained home with lots of amenities. The setting is absolutely perfect as my hubby and I said "escape to paradise." Everything about this trip was perfect from the weather, the beach, the community, the peacefulness, just everything!!!! We also appreciated Charles and Chrissy they were amazing hosts!!! The communication with them was seamless. Also, the wine that was left to enjoy for my Hubbyā€™s and my early 40th birthday was much appreciated!!! We have not traveled just the two for a couple of years when we celebrated my hubbyā€™s 40th!! This escape to Reedville as we called "escape to paradise" was just what we needed. This was a gift from our parents and we can't wait until our next visit, when we bring our daughter in August.

We loved this quiet property, right on the water. The house was clean and perfect for my mom and me. I didnā€™t use the kitchen but it was stocked with a lot of stuff. Towels for the beach were provided, along with chairs for sitting on the beach. There is a rinse off area in the back of the house, but to turn the water on you have to go in front of the house. I absolutely would return.

Excellent long weekend getaway!

Every inch of this small space is well utilized! Perfect for our little family, and my parents who visited during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the semi-private beach through all types of weather! Definitely a place we want to come back to!

Everything you need to relax right on the beach!

As described!! Great location!! The home has so much thought put into it, from cleanliness to providing everything you could possibly need and I mean everything. We were all pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the home is not just in the kitchen but in the bathrooms and the rest of home, there is just so much love and care put into this home that there are no words to fully describe it. The beach area is perfect for kids and adults, the view is amazing and best of all itā€™s all just a few steps away from the door. The owners are so accommodating and go above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. Communication from the owners is wonderful from the moment you book to after your departure and they truly care about their guests enjoying and having a great vacation. There is just so much great things to say about this home but go ahead and find out for yourself. We all had a great time and we would definitely recommend it.

Loved the beach access and cozy atmosphere

We had a great stay at this property - we loved being able to walk right outside and be at the beach and having meals on the back porch where we could appreciate the view. The property owners were extremely helpful and communicative, and the neighbors were all very welcoming. The beach was perfect for our 2-year old (small waves and plenty of room for digging in the sand), and the house was cozy and met all our needs.

Unbeatable location!

This property was absolutely perfect for us. The beachfront location was just what we needed. Our kids loved playing in the sand and splashing in the relatively calm waters. The adults enjoyed sitting in the sunshine and taking the kayaks out on the bay. We were there during the week, so it was very quiet, with little activity on the beach. We watched the sun rise over the bay off the porch most mornings. The house itself was clean and very well stocked. We would definitely book here again!
