"What an absolutely unique and charming property! W everything was just perfect, comfy and pampering. The hot tub, the pool, the bed, the kitty cats. "Spent one night at the Mendo Bungalows. The unassuming building sits up on a hill with a nice break in the trees to view the ocean. But stepping into the actual bungalow was a real treat. Looked like it had just recently been built/renovated. Plenty of space, lots of plugs for devices, modern TV with streaming, ample shower, super comfy bed. You should be aware that the town of Mendocino is actually across Hwy 1 on the west side of the highway. It’s probably not advisable to try and walk across...

"This location is unbeatable, and we loved having so much room to spread out after a week of cramped hotel rooms, not to mention laundry facilities! The kitchen is extremely large, clean and well-stocked. Despite coastal fog every day but our last, the ocean view is stunning and coffee or wine on your own ocean view porch was a daily treat. Don't skip walking the Headlands Path, which has spectacular views. It was great to quickly walk to a delicious dinner at McCallum House, fabulous breakfasts...

"The rooms at the Rainbow Lodge are undergoing a significant upgrade. As we arrived, they were just re-hanging the door to our bathroom. Charles, the manager, does a great job of managing the work, and we were very comfortable with the accommodations. "I stayed here with a friend for a long weekend - we enjoyed ourselves immensely! Highlights were listening to the birds, the scent of the sweetgrass, a soak in the hot tub, and using this as a home base to explore the lovely coastal towns nearby. Jess left excellent and helpful instructions. We planned ahead for cooking on the induction burners/air fryer and the kitchen was pretty well appointed. We'd recommend a visit to Point Arena for two excellent bakeries - Franny's and Pelican Bread. Also...
